No stores in Calgary doing it and I'm not in the mood to ship the phone.
Get into erecovery mode (turn off phone completely, hold volume up and while holding plug into a charging source.), then choose the option "download latest and recovery". It will download the latest firmware for your phone, and since it will be an update it won't even wipe your data.I got my Mate 20 pro used. And the phone model is LYA-L0C, but my build number is LYA-L29 and it is on 9.0.0.224(C636), I have never get any update. do anyone have any ideal what should I do to fix this?
Thanks.
If it's actually an L0C then you don't have a usable second sim slot anywayThank you very much for the tips. is the recovery update going to change the build number to lock second sim slot?
No you can only use it for the nano sd cardCan you actually use the back of sim card slot as second one? Build number turns to L29 because the last own tried manually upgrade the firmware. L29's firmware even L09s' works just fine.
Do you find the phone run faster? The phone is running great on emui 9.0, just wondering should I wait for the official OTA update. For those interested, I updated manually to 9.1 today (9.1.0.300) using the files and instructions in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-pro/how-to/9-1-lya-l29-dload-download-link-t3942796
I do have the L0C variant and someone in there had already tried it successfully for our model so I figured I'd give it a shot. So far so good! I wasn't rooted and didn't have bootloader unlocked. It does wipe all your data but I took a backup using HiSuite before and restored everything after the upgrade.
To be honest, I didn't really have any issue with the phone before... and for the last 6 hours or so, it's been running great. Too early to speak about battery life. I had disabled Huawei's battery saving features before (can't remember how it was called) but it's back now. Will see if notifications etc. are working fine or if I need to disable it again.
GPSTest does report using L5 frequency now though it still reports accuracy at 4 meters. Will go on a hike this week-end and will report back to see if it looks more accurate than before. Haven't taken any pictures yet though the interface looks pretty much the same. Version of the camera app is 9.1.0.314. I use nova launcher and it still works well after the upgrade. Android auto still works too.
I don't see it.Is the camera feature from p30 pro called Dual View present in 9.1 on Mate 20 pro? Thx
It's so much freaking smoother though, also I feel like the camera has improved.Well, after almost 2 days, I can't see a reason why you wouldn't upgrade. No bug or weird behavior to report so far.
That said, it feels more like just another small update. Doesn't really feel like it deserves a 9.1 tag. There's probably enhancements in the background but most are probably not noticeable on a day to day use. I can't say so far I see any reason to try and update ahead of time. Just wait until it gets released by our carriers. There really isn't that much exciting about it.![]()
Looks fishy me...I'd say clicking the buttons will have unwanted consequences. Do a scan, my guess is you picked a malware app.Have you ever seen such an alert? Is it a real threat, and if so, what would you do?
Got this noti before when I installed an apk from sh*t source. Immediately removed it.Have you ever seen such an alert? Is it a real threat, and if so, what would you do?
