I have no clue how or where to even check. Mine seems just fine though.
It's really only if you put it to less than 15% brightness with dark-grey wallpapers that you'll be able to notice a slight grey hue around the edges of the display. You have to be in a fully dark room in order to see this at all, which is why I wonder if I should even bother getting it replaced. I just worry that it'll get worse as seen for some people.

In order to check if you have an LG or BOE screen, you'll need to download the app called 'Device Info HW' from play store. I wonder if I would have noticed this problem if I didn't hear about it from reddit/XDA. Ignorance can be bliss. :(

I have an LG screen, and the green glow started day 4. Too bad otherwise this phone has been amazing.

Pre-ordered through Rogers.

Hola
So I take it that you returned yours and did not ask for a replacement?

What about the rest of you folks who are getting the green hue on low brightness in a dark environment? Are you going to ask for a replacement or simply cancel altogether?

I can go pick this baby up but now I am super obsessed about how to deal with this issue (if I get it)... talk about screen lottery man. Makes you appreciate the hardware quality that Samsung produces.

I am in the process of exchanging it and hopefully getting a BOE screen.

Yeah screw that. I'm not going to bother with any of that. Love your last sentence! Just gonna enjoy the phone. I'm so happy with it. I'm trying to actually enjoy it for a bit before I start tinkering hard. It's really nice for a change to really just enjoy a phone and use it for all the cool things it can do. I haven't been able to do that for a few years! All I've done the past few years is constantly tinker making themes so I'm very much enjoying a mini break to play with a new UI which I really like. Idk why everyone seems to bash emui. I think it's great and very clean.

I don't like the whole iOS wannabe part of it along with all the app duplication. That being said I knew what I was getting into before the fact so you won't catch me complaining about that. Still no issues with the screen on my end either. Still loving it. Now hurry up and start theming **** already. I'm getting restless here. ??

You imported your phone from the UK even though you it is available in Canada? May I ask why and I thought Clove was supposed to be really good with returns and stuff. Very sad that you have to fight them on this...

no no no i am in the usa. They wanted me to pay return shipping, which is $100 USD... which i should NOT have to do if its a defect. if it was simply oh i dont like it then FINE. makes sense. I work retail so i knew what i had to do. Simply put, everything to me buying was great. 2-3 emails daily when i had questions, but as i requested RMA, they instantly went GHOST. one email per 2-3 days, and literally wouldnt reply til COB their time which is noon here. I finally had the force them to either cover it ( which is only 24 usd for them. ) or i would file a full on paypal claim for original price + shipping AND the cost of shipping if i was foprced to pay $100. gave them til Noon USA EST, which is 5pm there, and at 11:58am my time i got it. I told them had they handled this in advance, i wouldve just gotten a replacement. but nope. i will not recommend them to anyone.

Well it's now official I'm getting a green glow in the bottom right side of my screen. Most noticeable on gray but now becoming visible on other colours. I think I will be heading to Telus soon. It's actually all the way down the right side when I do a screen uniformity [email protected]#$&@ so much for that

It's getting worse as we speak. It's visible on the home screen even. The XDA web page glows green on the right side. I will definitely be taking it in for repair. I've been using it heavily so I'm well over the limit to return it so will have to see how the repair goes. It's affecting the top too now. It's super annoying for such an expensive phone.

No. Don't repair. Replace.

Huge pain. To replace apparently I have to wait for them to send a box, mail the phone back, wait for them to get it back and then wait for a replacement. In the meantime I have no phone...

Because I bought online vs in store
join the club. just use your previous phone til then, or a cheap burner. Do not settle for repairing a literally brand new device.
