Battery life is not really impressive otherwise I'm impressed the updated speed of the fingerprint sensor.

Quick update, phone gets hot browsing Web and really hot when on charge, as I'm typing this it's getting warm, never happened before

Are you using Chrome ? If yes, you should maybe use another browser

You can easily see the changelog for each update in FF if you press the > button next to the version and size line of text after you click the firmware name.

I have the C342 version and don't see yet the B361 version in FF.

Those who habe VKY-L29C636, you can now install android 8.
On FF 2018.02.09 VKY-L29C636B360 (8.0.0.360) FullOTA-MF (2,693GB) (119355) firmware is now approved.

I have a bit confustion here. I did see there were a new firmware (VKY-L09C654B310 8.0.0.310) available for my P10 Plus (VKY-L09, Canada) via FF. but the phone were not approved for the firmware checking with IMEI and without IMEI. so my question is that who would approve the firmware update to my phone? Is it Huawei or my carrier (Rogers) that needs to push the update??

If I don't want to wait, is there any way I can just download the new firmware and safely upgrade it?

If your phone locked to a phone provider then they will push tge updates. If tge phone is unlocked then Huawei will.

Does that mean that simply by unlocking the phone will get the OTA faster? How can I tell that mine is locked? I'm with Rogers Canada.
