Ever since I've switched from Dolphin to Firefox, the screen would get darker every once in while when browsing, however I have not yet expierenced this under Android O beta! So there is a fair chance they finally fixed it...

Just bought new Huawei P10 plus phone and noticed weird/buggy behaviour with screen brightness / dimming:
In some apps, like chrome, messaging, facebook, etc, the screen getting darker when switching to them, relatively to normal level of brightness.
Turning off auto-brightness option not fixing the problem.
Current EMUI version: 5.1

Is it possible to fix it somehow or should I wait only official EMUI update?
Any thoughts?
Did you try the setting "increase readability under sunlight" under developer options? Solved the problem for me. Huawei P10 VTR-L29 EMUI 5.1

Hi,I've got the solution for this issued by change your permission to Developer (rapid click on the virsion of Android screen)>go to Developer menu>and turn it off the Menu Abilities read under the sun light(somthing like this)
then restart your phone and see for some change.
Thank for krakovf

Guys, I did try the above options in my new P10 but they didn't work. It isn't a great problem, however i have THE solution: install Google Now Launcher. Yes, if you recall those apps by multitasking panel you'll still have this "dimming feature". But hey, we just need it to stop by tapping the icon...so with this launcher if you open Chrome, Gmail or every other app they'll run at desired brightness without dimming! Hope it's useful for other people too :)
