Hi :) You cannot flash - Fingerprint would not work anymore...
I wrote everything in OP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-newworld-7-tecalote-t3543296

You must go back to the latest MM official Firmware (Factory Reset and closed Bootloader - must after Upgrading reopened!)
Thanks for the info!

Think I'm sticking with v4 now, awsome ROM!
Battery life is just crazy good, and after converting apps like whatsapp, Facebook and instagram, the push notification problem (Huawei's fault with the excessieve battery saving software) was solved.

I read that you are working on a v8 with Nougat support? Think I'm going to wait that one out ?

Anyways, keep up the good work!

Hi :) Yes I will finally also release a good Rom for Android 7 - but at the moment I wait until TWRP get his full functionality.
It doesn't Support data encryption yet - so you can't backup your data with TWRP (only the system)
Android 7 is much more complicated to modify (cause it is no longer desired from Google and the Manufacturer like Huawei)
Also the way to restore Firmware (important for some cases) is very complicated at the moment.
Xposed Framework is not ready for 7.0...

It will take another while until my Rom for N is ready

Good to see some more great development for the P9! I look forward to installing this tonight and looping back with any bugs etc!

Hello :) Welcome to my Thread - everything should be fine, there are no known bugs, except connecting Smart Watches.

If you make a Nandroid Backup, please restart the Recovery before making wipes and flashing the Rom.
TWRP has one known issue (unmount and remount Partitions after one action like Backup).

In expected one or two month I will release a ROM with K-Settings based on the latest Marshmallow Firmware b182.
First time based on European Firmware :)

Which System is your current (Stock or Custom Rom /which version)?

This Rom doesn't modify internal Memory in any way.
You can do following: Connect your P9 with USB to your PC and copy all private files you have stored there to PC. Unlock Bootloader, after flash TWRP from OP. Go to Wipe, Advanced Wipe and wipe Dalvik and Cache, data and also internal SD! After flash Stock Recovery which you can extract from the Full Stock Firmware with Huawei Extractor (you find it on xda).
Boot to Stock Recovery and Wipe Cache. After make a Factory Reset. Then flash Stock Firmware again with dload method.
This should solve your issue. Tell me.

I have also problems to go back to stock. Can you please assist?
I have wiped in TWRP: Advanced Wipe: Dalvik and Cache, data and also internal SD, and System (!)
However, cannot flash Stock Recovery now anymore, and dload method doesn't work
Please help

Hi :) For all users who don't know how to go back to Stock Firmware I make a manual soon.

In your case you have to do following:
1) Connect your Device with USB to PC. Press Vol- and Power Button at the same time until Phone reboot into Bootloader Mode.
2) Open Minimal ADB and Fastboot with administrative Rights.
Stock Recovery must placed in the folder of the program directory of Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
Download:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767103492
3) rename Stock Recovery to RECOVERY (=RECOVERY.IMG)
Code: fastboot devices (you must see your SN + device)
Code: fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.IMG
4) Disconnect USB cable and with Vol+ and Vol- and Power Button at the same time (pressing until EMUI Software Installing begins.

Alternative (before unsure doing this steps) you can flash with TWRP NewWorld again and wait for my detailed manual (tomorrow)

@juupke76 The Download URL is updated from #90 now - before it was wrong!
Thanks, but I am stuck now: dload method doesn't work: Package goes only to 5%, or says that I have the wrong package (tried several)
any thoughts how to solve?

Correction: I seems to work now. package ist at 37% already

Do you have already Stock Recovery installed (cause whitout it is not possible to install Firmware!) Which Firmware to you use? You cannot go from NewWorld to Nougat, you must go back to Marshmallow first.
If you tried to install Nougat FW we have a big problem now, cause then you would have Nougat Bootloader.
In this case you would must use b300 Downgrade Firmware.
Have you seen Post 90?
This work only if you tried to install MM Firmware

The splash screen with "your device cannot be trusted... and is booting now goes away if the Bootloader is closed. Updating with Stock Firmware always close the Bootloader on P9.

If you can enter Stock Recovery wipe Cache with it and make a factory Reset.

@Blackmedicine You can boot into system? Which system - NewWorld or Stock Marshmallow?
If you are on NewWorld you must flash Recovery from K-Settings /more settings /flash recovery - flash official recovery. The Firmware must unzipped on PC and copied to a folder called dload on your Phone (only update.app and meta.inf (if present) - nothing else should be in this folder) And you can start the update to Stock Firmware with 3 Button method. But at first, Stock Recovery must be flashed.

One advice to you all : freeze Phone Manager application. The result will be a free phone , you will not need to convert whatsup and others to system app etc.... Everything will work perfectly , as it should, also there will be no battery drain at all. I am using the phone without it and it works awsome.... No missed notification etc.....
Just try it before posting some negative opinion here...
