missed step

Followed the guide, i.e., just finished with
- flashed : L19c432b182-oeminfo-custom.bin_flash.zip
- Installed L19 b182 by DLOAD
- Factory Reset/Wipe Cache from eRecovery
-Factory Reset/Erase Internal Storage

Yes, I'm in L19 c432 b182, with offerred OTA for L19 c432 b383

But, NO, there is no such thing as dual SIM. I did Factory resets with already two SIMs in slots. It asks me for SIM pin only for my first SIM (not for the second SIM in the hybrid slot for SIM or SD). I exchange SIMs, it sees only SIIM in the SIM only slot. I tried with one SIM only, in one or the other slot - no success. SIM that is in the hybrid slot s never recognized.

I will atach screenshots...

But now I want to go back to L09 Nougat - how to do it:
- May I reinstall TWRP for MM and restore L09 b182 Nandrid backup, do Factory resets and start OTA updates for L09?
Or should I wait for your L09c432b182-oeminfo-custom.bin_flash.zip

Or, may I safely try one more thing - let OTA upgrade from L19 b182 to L19 b383 and to check dual SIM there?
And if no dual SIM there either, to rollback and restore my previous L09 b182 Nandroid backup and do then L09 OTA upgrades?

I am sure that the hardware is the same (except the sim tray ). I did the same and I think we missed activate the second IMEI only. I did the same "single to double" on my S7 and there is a software (z3x) what did this step. Any idea how we can do that?

If you figure out how to activate 2nd SIM, please post.
But there is also another difference (software only or really hardware), L09 does have NFC, L19 does not.

I think it would not be easy task. On this matter is not only that you need hardware changes or software. It is a matter of finding a registered imei2. Ofc logically you could use an imei from older device but it would be like trying to make a hole in the water.

I remember that only MTK had engineering mode to add second imei. But as I said it will be challenging to do it at least with Huawei firmware.

Tested with dc phoenix which is known and it didnt work at least for me. Repair yes but adding a secondary on Eva-L09 is not possible. Maybe switching on dual sim cust would work but i dont want to do it cause of multiple things I'll lose

The Zx3 has an "Clone IMEI-2" feature. If HCU (or Dc-unlocker ) has it, I will try, but have not asked them yet (I'm very very busy). Someone should try ... if the answer is yes I will purchase the software and try it. Volunteers?

I can ask them, maybe tomorrow, but what:

Do they support adding IMEI2 to P9 L09 that was rebranded to L19?

They probably don't know, they can claim for IMEI1 and for IMEI2 but on (original) L19

Yes, it should work because it installs no-Check recovery before DLOADing.
But make sure you perform Hard Reset with wiping Internal memory at the end.

However, differences between b398, b399, b502 and b503 should be only in Security patch date, hence not affecting battery consumption or so - maybe b503 comes with faulty GApps causing WiFi issues and draining battery - in which case would be enough to update all GApps but also Google Play Services

503 didn't had any difference battery wise for me checking with previous versions and I have loads of apps running in the background. Maybe his battery needs replacement.

By the way cloning imei as I experienced before with mediate device won't work because only one imei can be registered on the line. If the imei matches with the other sim then most likely it's going to be disconnected from the operator in the best scenario with no signal for both sims .. . Or conflict with your other sim and ban imei. It is possible to generate another imei with some tools but at least in EU there is a law that forbids it and im a bit scared to try it. Now as far i know there is a range of banned imei from that generator. Anyway because of curiosity I'm gonna try the other tool and report back tomorrow

I think you need to rebrand to L19 (to have dual SIM ROM) before trying with IMEI2, per instructions (I successfully folliwed the guide and rebranded to L19 two months ago, however second SIM was not recognized and I did not experiment with adding IMEI2)

Reporting back, the generic 2 sim chip is not recognised from the device. Needs a kernel side mod i assume. Tried with both paid tools and there is no result. HCU too. Switched to L19 and i had no results as well. So yeah I give up

Did you really use the rebranding method as above, that also switches oeminfo as for L19?

If all that, with HCU does not work to recognize IMEI2 and secund SIM, then there is really no hope so far to turn L09 into the dual SIM phone

I know that this is not the right forum. But theoraticly if I had a lot of old, not used phones, could/should I use them IMEI as second? Cuse its uniqe, real and not banned.
