Actually I met a Huawei employee today and he told me that there will be no Oreo for European P9 devices.
For this reason, I am currently working on a Tool to rebrand to AL10 without loss of IMEI.
But for the first I am in vacation.
Soon I am back and if the Tool is ready I will open a new Thread for rebranding and updating to Oreo.
(If not anybody else did it before me) :)
I don't get it.
Why there is such a problem to bring Oreo to European devices although it already exists and it is already tested on Chinese devices?

Hi Tecalote,

I just wanted to inform you that the work you have done so far is superb.

The rom itself, the possible Kangv adjustments, the stability as well as everything else is just realy awesome.

I really would consider myself as power user and i think i have discovered every corner of this rom and found just one bug, that isnt even directly related with your work... This is really awesome!

The only bug I have discoverd is that I cant set the navbar advanced options for opening an app(advaced settings Kangv). I can choose quick actions, but the window for application assignment won't open.(it loads and then disappears).

but this is not a big problem at all, since I use Pixel Launcher with google assistant at homepage. (google assistant works really fast and great - using german language)

Also I wanted to inform you that I'm coming from newest avaiable firmware, i think it was B502 and I didnt discover any bugs or disfunction yet (beside the one mentioned above).

Thank you and keep your work going.

Do you know what phone will be your next phone after P9? If you are planning to create custom roms also for your future devices, your decision would be an important point on my list regarding decision.

NavBar Advanced options work fine for me - maybe you have collision with your add-on launcher

You have installed over b502 but MR v4 is actually based on b498 - you can check Settings/About and you will see Sec patch is Feb

Hello and welcome :)

To use "custom application" in KangV Settings - if your language isn't English but German:
Open native settings, Advanced Settings, Language and Input and add to German English/German. Then change for a while the language to English.
Soon as your language interface is English you can choose any "Custom Application" in K-Settings.
It's only a language conflict. After you set up your Application you can change language back to German.

Thank you for your praise for my Rom. :)

At the moment I have several Huawei devices.
Mate 10 Pro, Mate 9, Honor View 10 and P9.
I am not sure yet which device I will use for my daily driver.
But I will make for all those devices (including P9 and P8) new ROMs.
My first Oreo Test Rom (including KangV Settings) I did for a friend of mine for Mate 10 Lite - everything perfect.
So I am ready in the knowledge how to do for Oreo.
I will even share the Mate 10 Lite Rom after my vacation here on xda.
And I am working on a solution for bringing Oreo to the P9 (if it will not come official)
In the meantime I have configured the classical hwota for P9 (which doesn't exist yet) for easily rebrand to other versions.

More to see after my "holidays" Thanks.

@reynard1 If you try to debrand to AL with my provided oeminfos, you can try to do following (as soon you are on Chinese Firmware)
"Unknown or invalid IMEI: Use any root file manager and go to cust/all/cn/prop/local.prop and edit local.prop change the line full network support: true to false"
@dkionline
found this tip today...
Don't know if it's working, but please report
bro i tried every thing and im sure the sulution is not in the rom
our answer is in the kernel
im working on merge_hi3650_defconfig for replasing some modem radio and driver
if any one want to help i can make git to work together even if we can make oreo work for p9 we shuld work on kernel side for EAS for our phone.

That's a good idea. I appreciate your work. Custom Kernel would be very good for any reason.

Oreo will come for P9 outside of China is the newest "News"

"Huawei has now started rolling out the update in China in phases and will be available for all P9 users in China by 15th July.

However, the update is not yet available outside China but we expect the update to be available soon in other markets as well.

Last month, Huawei Support UK had stated that the Huawei P9 smartphone, which was launched in the year 2016, would not be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update and the company cited hardware limitations as the reason for the same.
However, it seems that the information provided by the company was incorrect..."

Thank you for your reply!

The workaround of switching language to English in order to be able to pick custom applications for kangv settings did work!

Thank you once again.

hello ... a question ... I have b502 and I want to install b504 via hwota, can you do it? or do I have to install b503 first?
You can use this HWOTA7 Tool (Link one Post before yours) for updating your Firmware to b504 in one step.
You need just the 3 zip files, copy it on PC into the C:/HWOTA7/update folder
Rename two zip files as described in the new Thread, make USB connection and start update_eng.bat
No data will be wiped and Bootloader should stay open.

Didn't allow me to enable it
I installed this rom three days ago
Hello,
I need to know - which device do you have EVA-xxx and which cust (Cxxx) is your original? And it would be good to know, which Build-Number you had before flashing this Rom. Was it Stock Rom?
Please let me know as accurate as possible, thanks

Did you flash L19c432_patch.zip from OP immediately after flashing the Rom before the first Reboot?

If not, it's clear why Bluetooth is not working..
