Huge CPU and battery temps

Hello! I remember some of you complained about the temperature of the device, well yesterday and the day before yesterday my phone was shutting down forced. It would give the battery too hot warning and shut down even when not in use. So i took the phone apart and changed the thermal paste, this phone has a copper pipe under the cpu which js localized near the camera, on the top right corner of the phone. Due to my battery temps being high, I thought to replace the thermal paste, after I replaced it, CPU doesn't go beyond 60C at load and rhe battery doesn't exceed 35 C. So I believe the huge temperatures are related to the fact that the thermal paste gets stuck and dries.
