Where can I get the hulu app?

Whambam I've got it! You don't need to be deoxed and all that jazz. To use the hulu app you will need the modified version of flash. But to watch on the browser you can use the newest version of flash.

Step 1. Open the browser app
Step 2. Clear the url and type "about:debug" then press go (if you did it right nothing will happen)
Step 3. Press menu>more>settings
Step 4. Scroll down UAString then select" desktop"

Tada!!!!

Edit: apparently you still need the modded Hulu flash

If you get rom manager from the market, I believe its underskyraider's section under extras. or search the forums for Hulu pack...might be one word like hulupack. It will have the app in the zip.

Sorry let me correct myself, but its not in rom manager but just search hulupack.zip and you'll find it. But I see that the new vanilla skyraider has a new patched flash and hulu app. So you may want to wait and see if ihtfp releases the apks for other roms to use.

Bad news. The newest flash doesn't work after modding it as previously done. There seems to be an extra shared library so I'm not sure if that's part of the problem. The commercials play, but the main feature never starts. I will play with it some more.

After copying the libflashplayer.so to /system/lib, websites will recognize your flash player as a slightly older version of desktop flash, 10.52.x.x, and Hulu will work, but you will still get the benefit of better performance from the most recent flash player available.
Uh... how will running all of the code from an older version of flash give you "the benefit of better performance from the most recent flash player"? That makes no sense.

That's not what he said.

The older (modded to work with hulu) versions of flash will be recognized by websites as an older (desktop version?) flash player.

THE NEWEST versions of Flash will give you the benefit of better performance/bug fixes/ etc.

Yes it is:
With this method you can keep the newest version of Flashplayer (10.1.92.xx from the Nexus/Market), but enable Hulu.
Then he goes on to install the new version but replace the code in it with that from the patched old version. And somehow he thinks this will give the benefit of getting Hulu working while maintaining the advantages of the new version. And that makes no sense.

Very cool! The newly released flash player (10.1.95.2) seems to fix the slow sound problem. I just hacked up /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/libflashplayer.so to change the id string as noted earlier in this thread and now the Hulu app works perfectly!

Question for you or anyone else in the know. I've pulled that file and I've opened
it with HxD (googled a hex editor). Now, where do I find that string? Nothing I'm seeing on my screen looks like that, nor did a ctrl+f find it.

Please help a noob?

One more thing to keep in mind if you decide to edit libflashplayer.so. You will be replacing "AND 10,1,95,2" with "WIN 10,1,82,76", which is one character longer. So make sure you delete one of the NUL characters following the original string to keep the string table intact.

In other words, the edited file should be the same size as the original.

This is all I see when I search. Any clue what I might be missing?
No idea, but the string should be at offset 6844713 (in decimal, 687129 in hex).

Oh, you're not searching for lowercase are you? It's exactly what I said "AND", not "and".

Sweet; got it! One issue was my displayed text strings weren't long enough, but once I installed the right version of flash, pulled it, edited it like you said and pushed it back everything's perfect!

You just saved me from buying a subscription to another service. Thanks a million!
