Think i will do that and grab one before they eventually run out
I don't think they can run out since they have a giant warehouse. 2nd when you call act like the victim. Tell them the battery kept acting up since you got the phone. They will charge you $5 for shipping but tell then to waive the fee since it's not your fault the battery was a dud and they will do it ??

This phone is extremely hard to find a legit battery for. But my rule of thumb is, if you want genuine, don't go to ebay. Check my thread that may help
thanks for the help

Hello,
I bought a genuine battery from Amazon and discovered that is really old (produced un june 2014).
I checked also other sites on Amazon and all batteries seems 1 year old.
The battery seems impossible to find in real shops.
how can you know the year of the battery?

The date printed on the battery means cr*p when it is a fake. Many of them just stick a genuine looking "LG" sticker on it!

I've got a brand new one from Lazada with "100% Original" etc. on the listing, battery drains fast & the phone shuts down once it goes below 20%.

The original goes all the way down to 1%.

i ordered this one from ebay.has not arrived yet.but looks genuine.even the feedback of other users who bought this battery is very positive and the writing on the back is as same as my stock battery.hope this will work out for me and hope you guys will see it.

and also one thing i found out that fake batteries temp wont get read by our g3.my fake battery no matter how hot it hets battery temp always stays same between 25 degree celcius to 26 degree celcius.so if you wana know if ur battery is genuine or not just pop it in.start ur mobile.play games make it hot and then after ope cup z app slide to battery info and then see if the battery temp has rose more than what it use to show before gaming or not.hope this will help you.

Update to my last post:
Looks like genuine batteries are back in stock. I'd been watching the LG site for a few days now, and the only option has been "Notify Me" on the BL-53YH batteries. Checked in this afternoon and it's "Add To Cart" for $15. I recommend buying now, cause who knows how much longer they will stock official batteries.
