HwOTA7 + HwOTA8 for Honor 6X

I'm in elite ROM 7.7, that process work without problem?

i encountered problems but it was all my fault , hwota7 will work if you plan to upgrade from elite rom to emui 8. just follow the instructions here or on the bln-l22 thread and you'll be fine

I flashed the chinese files via HWOTA7 on my bln-l24 successfully. I followed that up with flashing openkirin.com's gsi image of LS15.1. Now in About phone, my Model, LineageOS version, LineageOS API level, Build date, and Build number all show unknown. Is this to be expected, or do I need to flash something else. Would using HWOTA8 to change location back to BLN-L24 help, or will that screw everything up?

maybe you didnt factory reset , you can try flashing the update again via hwota8 to try and fix this

I used hwota7 ,to get back to stock emus 5 on Bln l24 and now there is no system update option in about phone. I must have did something wrong?

Flash oeminfo file and dload small data file and it will be there. You may not have themes, clock as well, most probably

If I flash oeminfo, do I have to factory reset again? Do you think flahing oeminfo would fix the problem I mentioned a couple posts earlier?

For stock yes but for custom ROMs nope

You first need to come back to stock from LOS and then flash stock firmware via dload. Jt shoukd be fine jn about phone section, if not, flash oeminfo via twrp and then flash small data file.
On custom ROMs, i have seen this issue if developers forgot to add something (not able to recall exactly- have seen on one of 5X ROM) and released, users eill have such missing info in about phone section

I'm in Italy and my operator is H3G, I had to go fully back to stock to make me phone work again. Really don't know if I did something wrong during the procedure, anyone else having this issue?

After flashing emui 8 root your phone with magisk then use any root explorer then go to cust/cn/all/prop then edit buildprop file then change this line ro.config full network support =true to false then reboot your network will come back for sure.
U can also change your oem info to india and flash india emui 8 which default support network with volte and much smoother than other emui 8

Now take one sd card the copy & RENAME all the downloaded files as below

update_data_full_public.zip to update_data_public.zip
- update_full_....zip to update_all_hw.zip
- update.zip don't rename


And also copy HuRUpdater_0.3.zip.


Note: you must rename those 3 downloaded update files as I mentioned above and copy those 3 update file as well as HuRUpdater_0.3.zip in the same folder. (Folder name could be anything).

Last step..

After copying and renaming files as I suggested above in memory card.

Insert card in your phone.
Boot into twrp.
Navigate to the folder in sdcard where you have copied hurupdater & 3 update files.

Select HuRUpdater_0.3.zip and flash it

Wait for some time. HuRUpdater_0.3 will do the rest automatically.
After finishing flashing, your phone would restart itself and boots to stock EMUI 5.

Please be patience on first boot because device will take longer time to boot.

My messages are coming, Internet is good, but unable tp call, when I press call it will automatically ends on 1 or 2 secs.. When others call me they hear the ringing sound, but I am not even getting a notifications or anything..its been 1 month since having this problem.. Even after factory resetting nothing changes.. Can I try this method to downgrade to EMUI 5? Help me guys.

Thank u man.. Did complete factory reset and re flashed with hwota8 method.. Just face problem with twrp flashing, as I'm already on 8.0 bundled twrp is not working, so I again flashed twrp modded by kingofmezi and then proceeded with remaining steps.. Finally got VOLTE symbol and working calls.. Thank. U
