Xloud working means it doesn't clashes nevermore with the CM7 DSP "bass amplifier" + equalizer feature. You can turn Xloud and DSP bass enhancer/equalizer on/off as you want without DSP crashes.
The embedded DSP can be simply replaced with a fully compatible version I have or other fixed version.
I hope in the next rom release the very few ineffective or unusable stuff will be stripped out if possible, if not the rom is more than satisfaying as is.
BTW, debugging is useful to learn and share something beyond fixing bugs.
This is a development thread, if you have something to share to help development could be way better than share sarcastic and unuseful stripes.

I'm testing since some days Goldenleaf kernel 111108 and can say it works very well with this rom plus it removed the random "darker" screen bug when charging battery. However I still don't understood why WhatsApp crashes sometime...

I also found this is best rom for old baseband, hope "Boykioy" will update a lot of tweaks for the next version, which rom smoother and better battery life, and also hope to have the new interface, this interface is used from 1.2 to 1.5, too old

More tweaks? We already have enough what more tweaks you want?
The interface is old?? Its the one sony uses, this is a port of sony, so...

Yea i test the 111119 latest goldenleaf, seems to work nice,but still i achive better scores with franko old kernel.

Dont know man why whats app crashes, probably due to the keyboard?

GB 2.3.3 by LG is a closed story. LG released only part of the source code and stopped P500 software development.
GingerCrust, based on the well known CM7 plus the helpful Xperia features, is a smart & wise project, perhaps the coolest rom out there. The very few bugs I have seen are fixable and not important for most of us, the rom is stable and fast and good for every day use, what do you want more?
Really the bug reported can be reduced to reboot into recovery option, FDN, manually search for providers. The others are false bugs (automatic brightness is useless without the sensor and can be ignored, Xloud may be used due a new CM7 DSP I have, undervolting is useless without kernel and hardware support and can be ignored, camera silence can be obtained easily, battery status style not visible in statusbar option... who cares?).
I hope in a next release with the very few remaining bug fixed, this is (for MY needs! ) the rom of the year!

My only reason to use CM was the power buttons in notification bar.
But Data was more attractive.

If you'd add tweaks, new kernel, supercharger, gingercruzt and the other stuff you did with this ROM to OpenOptimus, trust me, you are the man.

Applying a theme in CM is as easy as 'click'. Applying a theme in openOptimus (GB one) is something I would even more appreciate boykoiy for!

I don't understand why WhatsApp crashes coz the log file is too generic about, says only "unespected error" or similar thing. Perhaps there's another log file I don't know, I'm not so skilled yet in Android stuff. The keyboard error reported in the log file has gone away after I copied the missing files in /system/usr/keychars and keylayout directories, that's good! The crash in WhatsApp happens when I touch the "send" virtual button on the screen (not on the virtual keyboard), but not every time... with Mik's CM7 6.5.8 and 6.5.7 roms this thing doesn't happens but I don't go back to plain Mik's rom only for this damned WhatsF*ck, for sure!

OpenOptimus 2.202 was (is) developed and mantained by Ciaox that seems to me open-minded to the user requests, you can try ask him about your wishes on LG's GB 2.3.3.
And yes, applying a theme to CM roms is enough easy but GingerCrust is, I see, way much more than a themed rom and realizing it in a stable and reliable status is way more hard and time demanding than theming only. To realize a GingerCrust-like rom for LG GB 2.3.3 is still harder, I think, due the lack of some essential docs (sources) from LG.
If you like the CM "power buttons" you can try the Espier launcher, it resembles the iOS home (not so bad!), smooth with big icons plus sweeping on the right the hidden dock bar, appear a sort of "power bar", try it... Cheers!

well i have been using this ROM since past few weeks and i did not find any serious problems infact its better that the original stock ROM and its one of the best custom rom's i have use till date and i would recommend this to try if u oew a P500

can anyone link me to that thread? I cannot seem to find the search button! on this web. weird....

btw, this rom is very beautiful, stable enough for everyday rom and highly custumizeable (due to cm7 based).

Guide to install "Flash player for P500 10.3" 100% working with rom "gingercrust v1.5"

You can check with the web: whatismyflash.com

1. Use the explorer to the root system / app and delete the flash player app for ARMv6.

2. Continue to data / data directory and delete com.adobe.flashplayer.

3. Install flash player for ARMv6 is ok.
