I've been thinking about the Unicorn Beetle Pro or the I Blason Magma case which are both the same company.

So which one is better? I've had Beetles before but this Magma series is new.

The Magma looks to offer beefer protection.

Also, how is the built in screen protector? I had the supcase before, but I know the curved glass they use a different type of plastic.

I've read about some of the Defender problems with drops with the Note 8 and screen shattering. That is what I currently use.

I can't do any sort of comparison to the i-Blaison case since I have no experience with it, but I've been using the Unicorn Beetle Pro since I picked my Note 8 up on Monday and I love everything about it except the built-in screen protector.

The grip is nice, the case distributes the bulk right where I'd most want it (top and bottom lips, padded corners, etc.) /keeps the right areas slim, and I've grown to kind of like it looks-wise.

The built-in protector has been a mixed bag to put it mildly. I've had instances where you can tell it was adhering nicely to the screen and touch sensitivity felt good (I've yet to use the phone sans case so I, probably thankfully; don't have the feel of that as a point of comparison either) but for the most part I've had tons of response issues and I have to apply pressure a lot/swipe a finger along the screen to get the two surfaces closer. I'll be buying a separate screen protector and popping this one out within the next couple of days, no question.

The included belt clip doesn't turn into a kickstand unfortunately but I am able to rotate it and use it like one on flat surfaces. Been doing it all week at work and it's good enough for me.

It sounds similar to the issues with the s7 edge Defender case I had. Due to the curved glass they used a different material. It was a tight fir to the glass and didn't allow any dirt in. However, it had response issues when typing that drove me nuts.
