Wifi calling will be dependent on the provider. If it's unlocked and on a different carrier from where it came, wifi calling won't be provisioned for it.I just bought an unlocked LG G8 ThinQ. My old LG G7 ThinQ had wifi texting, and I have seen videos of this phone with the wifi calling feature but it seems to be lacking from this phone. Is that a fluke or something I have to live with now?
My current provider allows for wi-fi calling. Shouldn't the phone allow for it now? If not out of the box, then is there some sort of hack I can do to enable this feature?Wifi calling will be dependent on the provider. If it's unlocked and on a different carrier from where it came, wifi calling won't be provisioned for it.

No,because wifi calling calls for registration from the carrier. If the device isn't on the original carrier it came from,it will never register.Ah ok, well, could I root it or something to force wi-fi calling to be enabled?
