I can no longer encrypt roms

I can no longer encrypt any ROM I install. Can anyone think of why?

It reboots to the little green android guy for a couple seconds and the boots right back into the ROM.

Any help is much appreciated.

It worked with some cm13 nightlies back in October and into November but now none work.
