This didn't work for me, i tried flashing 3 different custom roms for my mi a2 lite, installed 2 different rec, tried wipeing everything yet i still get the error.Assuming that you've unlocked the bootloader and properly installed ADB drivers:
Boot to fastboot
Type: fastboot boot X:/location_of_Offain_TWRP.img
Tap cancel
Go to wipe, then format data, then type yes, then enter.
Go back to the Wipe menu, Wipe Cache, Data, System, Internal storage
Go back to TWRP Menu
Flash the ROM you want to install
Flash the TWRP Installer
Then go to reboot menu
Change slot (A to B or B to A)
Then Reboot to Recovery
Then flash Force Encryption Disabler
Flash Magisk
Flash GApps
Then finally, reboot system.
