I Can't get Lg G7 into Download Mode

and got stuck in step 2 i can't access download mode each time i try it just goes to fastboot even after i run fastboot -ab like it says in the post so im stuck in 11g

Plug usb to phone, turn off phone. When phone is off, hold volume up . While holding up, plug usb cable to pC
