I've seen a couple of people say that this works and a few people saying that they are having problems. I'm wondering if a lot of people are having success and not posting anything. For those of you that have tried the downgrade, have any of you been able to install a 5.x ROM such as Candy5 or BlissPop without issues?

Thank you!

Edit: Post #42. Sweet.

I just went for it. It flashed a 4.4.2 test version that I successfully rooted. Upon installing TWRP I got the lines that others mentioned. No big deal, just wait and restart the display and they go away. I was able to flash Candy5, but that's when I noticed that my 16GB device was partitioned to 4GB.
Dammit.
Gonna try a few things to see if I can get it back to 16GB. I'll post back with progress.

Edit: I've tried different ROMs and several different things, but the internal storage is stuck on 4GB. Sometimes 4.4.2 reports 8 GB and sometimes 16 GB, but all but 4 GB is "used" by "Misc" or "System Data" that isn't really there. The partition is 4 GB according to "df -h" in TWRP.

I'm going to look in to running resize2fs to see if I can get it to take up the rest of the space.

Do you have supersu? If so there's a unroot option in the settings

:) i have my ways lol this has been tested by me im not a professional or anything so im not gonna explain how to downgrade but all you need is
The Kdz of course : http://www.mediafire.com/download/2433xqabj1k8b8d/V41007h_0.kdz
And LG Flash Tool 2014

i strongly recommend that if you dont know what your doing then dont bother messing with this but also this is pretty easy and only took me about 15-20 minutes to do lol if you need any help pm me on here :)

And yes this is 4.4.2 i dowgraded from 5.0.2 to 4.4.2
Does anyone have the V41020C kdz? it is the laterst firmware update. my OTA says no update available when there should be.

I had the same issue... I fixed it by hard reset aka factory reset. I used adb reboot recovery because I have trouble with the button combo to factory reset

I was on AT&T but the test kdz wasn't getting great reviews so I flashed the US Cellular kdz

4.4.2 and looks great without all the bloat. Currently waiting for a reply of how to unlock so I can use My original at&t sim or hopefully any sim. It's actually My Daughter's tablet so I'm cool with Wi-fi and whoevers firmware after using Super Su on 5.0 to get rid of Kingroot(beware)
Well back on Earth........it's just another option I must now find root and TWRP. My Daughter may need it, U know *4 Years old

question?

I've an at&t lg pad v410 on 5.0.2 and i had it rooted which worked fine for a while then one day i decided to restart the tablet for whatever reason and ever since then it boots but stays stuck on at&t logo. I've tried several times the factory reset and it seems to work til it reboots and once again gets stuck on at&t logo....... now my question is would flashing this test rom and not rooting or anything would i be able to update to kit kat or lollipop using OTA or the LG support tool? would i run into any errors ?

I'm trying to get from rooted 4.4.2 back to stock OTA and I'm not having much luck...

I went through the entire process of flashing this .kdz, fixing the data partition, fixing the "white lines" issue, flashing the stock ROM and stock recovery and unrooting completely, but STILL getting that damn "Your device is suspected in rooting" error. I've skimmed through this thread and haven't found a definitive fix for this - am I missing something?

Alternatively, LG has posted the 5.0.2 source files on their site: http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=NAME&search=LGv410

There's instructions on how to compile, but I'm not quite adept enough to pull it off... I asked someone who is for help, and they say the output isn't correct for this device... So another dead end. If the IR blaster worked in CM I'd just stop caring, but....

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I think I flashed with the wrong settings selected in the flash tool so I'm flashing again. If that doesn't work then I don't know. I'm coming from cyanogen back down

So I don't know what's wrong. It loads and makes the AT&T sound and then next thing I get is a white screen asking me to enter a password or pin. I have never set a password or pin on here for my tablet so I don't know what's up
it flashes w/ a data partition that is encrypted. boot into recovery and perform a fac reset then you should be ok. i had this same problem guys, thatll help.
