Looks to me you're the only one who doesn't know what he's talking about...plus you might wanna try to be more considerate when you post here. No need for personal baseless attacks.
Pixel 3 is an outdated phone with an excellent camera app and timely updates. That's ALL. Had one, ditched it for the Mate 20 pro (in before the personal attack that "you don't know what you're talking about").

I can also ask you how did you get your Mate 20 pro to become "hot as hell after just a half an hour driving with GPS app running". I took 4-5 hour trips with GPS on, the only slight warm area was the wireless charging one, as the phone sat in a holder with wireless charging.

Not sure what point you are trying to prove (if any) but you haven't convinced anyone.
Maybe this will:

Sure I can't convinced anyone here just because all people here are mostly Huawei fans which is okay. But again, I have both Pixel 3 and Mate 20 Pro on hands right now. Pixel 3 - no issues whatsoever even if I really want to be a picky. I do not read any Pixel trouble reports or reviews - I have it and I can not find any issue with it. Mate 20 Pro - I can't even unlock this damn thing without saying "f" words numerous times due to useless fingerprint and not 100% at-the-time working 3D face unlock. More common scenario is pattern unlock which is just pathetic for such expensive devise. And I can repeat: 30 min driving with GPS enabled on Mate 20 Pro and Sygic or HereWeGo running - it's getting hot as hell indeed whereas Pixel 3 stays cool. Don't want to repeat other issues .They are clearly here every time and I can't bypass them. Hence why I believe that Mate 20 Pro isn't worth money spent even now and I've put it on sale already. Cheers

I gave my dad the pixel 3 and bought the Mate 20 Pro.

Both great handsets but the battery and camera alone were enough for me.

We're not zealots...none of us is praising Huawei above all...it has annoying issues but also great and unique features.
If this is not the phone for you (for whatever reason...you don't even have to justify it in front on us) change it. We've all been there with this or other phones.
This is why people prefer Android: you don't like a particular phone or vendor implementation, there is a ton of other options. Not so much with Apple.

From my experience, it may related to t-mobile network. I have used nexus6p, samsung galaxy s4, s6, s9, oneplus one, 5t. missing call were all happend. may not that frequently like you. but definitely missed calls or when you call somebody it seems connected, but actually not. especially when caller is in T-mobile too.

I think the phone ringing consistently when you get calls is a fundamental function of any phone and the fact that this is not happening (and that the same issue has been reported by many other people) falls way outside the category of "this phone is just not right for me..."

I not only spent nearly a thousand dollars on this phone at launch but I have continued to use the phone daily for 6 months trying a variety of fixes for the problem.

Did you even read my post or just respond after glancing at the header?

I think this is more of a mixture of carrier/firmware issue than actual phone hardware.

Optus Australia had us on .122 firmware for 5 months, where I experienced the same issue calls not being received and call dropouts, even my voicemail didn't work, after months of complaints to the carrier and the telecommunications ombudsman, nothing was resolved, so I manually update to .210 via the dload method. Now Optus updated to 212, I'm stuck on 210 annoying that OTA won't work.

But the firmware update has fixed my call and voicemail issues. So I'm guessing that earlier firmware versions were glitched causing some users issues.

Apple is a Godlike company! They don't need other options. They know how to do things properly as much closer to perfection as possible. And they've mastered it for years and, as you know, they have started it - making the smartphones as we know them know. So please don't mention Apple. 99.99% people won't be able to make even half of the list of annoyances I've got with Mate 20 Pro. All I wanted to say is that Huawei still has a long way ahead to do things properly, perhaps, as other Chinese companies. Certainly Mate 20 Pro is NOT up for the price it's sold brand new even now. The price for used one in great condition in my country is ~US$450 right now. This is how it should be priced from the start and I won't have any single complain! :)

Best comment ever , and its perfect to close this thread :D
The last comment and close up conclusion would be - NOT WORTH IT. Don't spend more than $450 - 500 for it. It is not as good as advertised for sure and all hidden caveats kill the pleasure of dealing with this phone.

It is definitely 100% phone issue rather than carrier. Huawei sell different versions (at least firmware wise) for different regions and they must be aware of their smartphones hardware compatibility with particular networks in particular region. Especially when we are talking about $1000 phones, not cheap $50 crap. So no excuses for Huawei here please.

I'm not the only one here who have heaps of issues with Mate 20 Pro regardless how minor or annoying they are. So I'm not justifying anything, just reporting about the issues and doubting the value of this particular very expansive device. And yes, I'm regretting about spending so much money on it because of above mentioned issues. Also I used to have Nexus 6P and Mate 10 before and I can't really complain about them. So expression "it is not the phone for you" isn't valid.

Did you read my reply in the context...or just the header? I was saying in general (newsflash...the world is NOT about you only) that someone should be able to choose their phone, for WHATEVER reason, without being attacked.
Now go away. I wasted my time defending you.

After doing some searching through the Mint SIM support threads there are complaints about the same issue with multiple devices and it seems to be an issue for phones that don't support Volte. My P20P, M10P, MI 9, Mix 2 & Mix 2S all work with T-Mobile Volte which is probably why I wasn't experiencing the issue. The M20P is the only phone I've had over the past four or five years that doesn't work with Volte on the T-Mobile network.

For proper T-Mobile network compatibility any phone that supports band 12 also needs to support Volte which I didn't know.

Unfortunately AT&T coverage is terrible in my area so the only way I could use the M20P without calls going straight to voicemail without ringing would be to switch the preferred network to 3G which apparently allows all calls to ring.

Live and learn I guess.
