Maybe needs device first activated in China/Taiwan? Maybe needs IP here? Maybe needs to be registered on the account to China or Taiwan?

No sorry, I don't want to bother them with multiple issue at once... and since the issue that all incoming calls show 'unknown number' bothers me the most I contacted them for it. I had to record some logs and send it to them.. And after 2,5 weeks or so, they told me my issue should be fixed in the next update... (fingers crossed)... Both on word on fixing any other issues..
How did you contact them with the issue?

The phone is bought from tradingshenzhen, they already installed google play store on the phone. So it has been turned on in China for the first time... I tried with VPN (China) and I have registered a Vivo account.... But it will get here eventually... Just trying to understand how it works...

Has anyone actually tested if it supports wifi -6e?

I guess vivo saved money and didn't use fast connect 7800 modem. Or actually it pretty surely doesn't because we miss ANT+ (or has someone access to the service menu meaning managed to install vivo service 1.5 first) and that's part of 7800.

However if we have the cheaper 6900 we still should have wi-fi 6e, but it's not mentioned anywhere so maybe the poor 4G/5G battery life is due to Vivo using some cheap Chinese modem instead?

So far only Xiaomi 13 pro and galaxy s23U are confirmed to having fastfonnect 7800 (and WiFi 7 support).

Are you interested in selling the phone ? I will pay 100$ more than what you paid. Just to never see you again on this forum .
This is a serious question . I will buy it if you want to sell it . Waiting for your answer .

Battery life seems to only be a issue for you. I'm on 5 hours SOT, 74% battery remaining with 1 day 19 hours without charge

Everything he ever said here , except notifications , are problems only he has 😂
Completly wrong and you know it. My first huge problem was google wallet not working - I found out the reason and posted it but it cost me a day (who would have thought you get mismatches on google service with play store due to the vivo appstore having outdated versions and google play not able to update the component).

Battery life I've given many reviews as example - so I am far from alone. Even here on the forum others don't get over 6-7 hours SOT with 24h standby. But yeah it seems to be fine as long as you use Wifi all the time. One hour surfing on wifi 6% battery vs 10% on 4G - and 15% on 5G for me. That's just ridiculous if we would have fastconnect 7800 which claims to save 30-50% battery vs previous modems by Qualcomm. It's actually sure we don't have the 7800 because nowhere anyone claims wifi 7 compatibility (unlike Xiaomi 13 Pro/S23U). That leaves the possibility we have the 6900 fastconnect - which is quite likely because the X90 Pro+ supports some Qualcom proprietary bluetooth standards, but would mean we actually have wifi 6e too. Vivo just says Wifi 6.
The older qualcom modems only had Bluetooth 5.2. So most likely it has the Fastconect 6900 and the older X65 and not X70 modem and first appeared on the SD 8 Gen 1. Or actually maybe even not a Qualcomm modem at all. Its surely Fastconnect 6900 and not 7800 however (else they would advertise Wifi 7 - but so that means we actually have Wifi 6e)

How on earth is it possible to still contradict everybody here ? Ive seen at least 5 dudes here , including me , who own the phone , telling you that they ( we) dont have any battery issue . You keep talking about this days later . Than you got issues with camera , os , modems , call loudness , updates + thousands more issues . You definately got some issues with the phone . Either you are a troll , either you got a defective unit . But id put all my money on the first variant if i would make a bet.
I am the calmest guy you ever met but waking up , checking emails and seeing xda +extremecarver text on my screen , knowing you write long , stupid texts you write everyday ... Makes me wanna slap you in real life . Im asuming a ban writing this text to you , stop annoying peoples here with your crap , stupid nonsense you write about this phone . Peoples are contradicting you every single time , telling you that they DONT have the problems you write you do ... And you still talk nonsense here instead of selling the phone ( to me if you wish or at least f*****g return it to the seller , get your money back and live your life) , or contact vivo's support .
You are the weirdest guy ive seen around in about 10 years of xda .

While I could stand 60hz - that mushy 1080P on a 1440P screen is impossible for me. I don't think you gain that much with 60 vs 120hz as it's LTPO anyhow. 1080P will defitnitely improve things quite a bit. Actually I see not much sharpness difference on a 1080P screen vs 1400P - but 1080P on 1440P is just gruelsome. Interpolation of text doesn't work that well.

If I use Wifi at home/work I get 8-9h SOT per day, on 4G only 5-6h per day (18 hours max) - if I enable 5G it's only 4-4.5h SOT per day (14 hours in that case until 0 with wifi switched off) - 5G here is on N78 - maybe lower bands like 5G on 700mhz fare much better. 4G seems to default to B7 - 2600mhz.

The last trial update seems to have improved things a bit concerning battery however (but then it seems now bluetooth connections are sometimes cancelled to save power - so notifications arrive on my phone but not on my smwartwach (sometimes do, sometimes don't) - also sometimes now missing sound while notification arrives...
Today I had 7:40 hours SOT and am at 40% battery. BUT this ways with only 3 hours without Wifi. With Wifi I get about 0.5%/hour screen off discharge - not great but okay - with 4G data it's 1.5%. And the more data you download the worse the discrepancy.

I'm hoping dxomark will soon do a battery test of the X90 Pro+ - they have very good separation of on the go vs stationary.

So battery life on Wifi is great (except if you're at the range of coverage which was my problem in the beginning before I moved my wifi router around a corner) - but battery life on 4G/5G midbands with data on is the problem. Oh yeah if you have mobile data always on because your wifi isn't too good - then battery life takes quite a hit too.

I'm just testing how much juice it will drain to download 13GB via 4G+ (my contract has truly unlimited data, so I can easily run such tests) with screen off. Let's see.

See those 2 screenshots for the root cause of the poor battery life. I was downloading a 13GB file over 4G - it downloaded 2.2GB in 19 minutes at -99db reception (that is full 4 bars but in some apps considered as fair or 4 out of 5).
It burned 5% of battery (actually closer to 6 because very quickly after it dropped the next percent).

If you use 4G/5G data and I think I have not too bad reception here, next tower is 200m away, the second next 400m.

On wi-fi everything is fine, but over 15% battery drain with screen off downloading a file is the culprit. I average maybe 10GB of 4G data per day. So that's where my battery consumption is happening. My P30 pro was needing much less battery on 4G in the same apartment.

Another email from Vivo, the notification fix update is incoming. I mentioned the battery life just for the sake of it & they said they'll forward that to the correct team . Battery life is of course good but I'm sure we can all agree it has potential for further improvement, considering the phone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Can they be solved by using a custom (not default) dark mode?
There is no prohoem wirh notifications when you are following my guide a few coents above. I grt ebery notifications I want even when in battery saver mode.

Well Im using my x90pro plus since Friday and the battery is brilliant. 2 days now and im left with 13% right now. Bluetooth on, huawei watch connected, Bluetooth headset connected for 8hrs a day, gps on, nfc on. All this while heavy usage making photos and so on. im blown away by this performance never had such a good battery life.

Hey, could someone owning x90PP provide me few video footage in 4k30fps in original quality? Also, if there's a some voice enhancer feature. Can you make me one video with voice enhancer on and off? Thank you so much!
I filmed singing my daughter and a friend, at 4K 60fps, low light. There is no voice enhancer feature (or I have not found it), Youtube is still procesing 4K video for now:
