Just a quick review on the new update I got today,

WiFi is blazingly faster than before
Battery has definitely improved
Thermals are slightly better

Overall definitely a step in the right direction

Is this is genuine statement or just pulling his legs. I have recently ordered mine since I realised that the pro+ version will never get a global release. Been reading the entire thread hoping that i will not regret my decision since this would be the first Chinese version phone that I would have purchased.

Any word of advice?

I had several china only devices (I'm from the Netherlands) and they work just fine for me. Only real issue I have is that the phone shows 'unknown number' for every incoming call while VOLTE is enabled.. Vivo support said that it will be fixed in next (18.3?) update.. I don't need android auto or google assistant, all other stuff I use works fine for me.... Is there anything in particulair you want to know ?

The 18.3 update notes say that more information is available on the WeChat originOS channel, can anyone who has access to this channel maybe lookup if any more information on the update is available there (I'm not on WeChat) ?

I logged into Wechat to check, doesn't seem to have any information on 18.3 except that it is now OS 3.

I don't use AA or google assistant so that is fine. Will try to use the debloat and see how things go. Just crossing fingers that it will be glitch free!

Thanks for checking WeChat! Besides the one I mentioned I don't encounter big issues... But perhaps I use the phone differently from you...

Nawwww just pulling his legs lol, I'm keeping it. To be honest, if the dbloat wasn't possible, I would have sold it because I simply cannot stand having other languages, which I don't understand, in the phone's interface. I bought a red Magic phone a few years ago, a global edition, that had Chinese texts in random places on the interface. I had never sold anything so quick in my life and told myself I would never buy anything with a foreign language again.

But seeing the x90 pro plus tempted me again, especially with the camera & the beautiful screen.. And to top it off, the debloating is available so 99.9% if not a 100% of foreign language bloatware can be removed from the x90 Pro Plus

And as we all know the x90 pro plus isn't coming global. I would have sold my x90 pro plus on one condition, if there was a global edition. But that's not happening so this one is staying with me for the foreseeable future.

Another email from Vivo, the notification fix update is incoming. I mentioned the battery life just for the sake of it & they said they'll forward that to the correct team . Battery life is of course good but I'm sure we can all agree it has potential for further improvement, considering the phone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

You probably won't regret it. It's a really nice phone. Very premium. But, you'll have to be patient. Don't expect it to be perfect straight out of the box, or you'll be somewhat disappointed... You'll need to tinker with some stuff to get it to work just how you want it to. Most, if not all, most popular apps work just fine. Any other "major issues" have probably already been discovered and addressed by other users, so you can just come on here and find info. Some of the Vivo apps are mainly non-english, so I'd suggest an on-screen translator or have another phone at-hand to use the camera translation.

The Chinese apps can all be deleted, I haven't got any Chinese text left in my Vivo
