Does anyone else have an issue with wifi and battery drain on 2.3.x:confused:

If wifi is enabled, it does not even have to be connected, the battery drain is 60-70mA all the time. Turn off wfi and the drain is down to 1-8mA

I have tried a number of sense ROMs and non sense ROMs with the same result. I have also tried a number of different radios.

This was not an issue before 2.3.x. It also does not seem to affect all devices. :(

Is my HTC Desire HD the only device with this issue?

Edit: Resolved or it seems to be

Well i seem to have solved this problem or it resolved its self :D

well i never thought, in a million year, that cleaning the contacts in the battery compartment and the contacts by the SIM card would solve my battery drain issue, but it has or seems to have.

I still can not explain this or am convinced that cleaning these 4 contacts were the problem because they were not very dirty
I also use a small flat head screwdriver to raise the 4 contacts a bit, not much just a fraction a very small amount, just to make sure that everything was making good contact when put back.

after almost 12 hours the battery drain is back to normal, in fact brilliant. :D

Can someone else confirm that this works for them as well
