I think getting a new screen/touch replacement is the best way to fix touch issues.

I can reach ace ranking in pubg with ease so it's probably you are lacking in skills than just touch issues

I just don't know.

It's just that maybe some units aren't affected.
I heard some random guy in the Poco reddit got a pocophone around September and bought another Poco for her little brother 2 months after that and what happened is his poco has touch issues while his little brother's doesn't have any.

That's why I thought I'm gonna get a new screen replacement
Go for it bruv.. get a replacement and give feedback

For some reason I thought I was on reddit and you were being ironic in your post with your username(since pubg ranking = grinding) either way if getting a screen replacement is the only way to "fix" these "issues" then this phone is not worth it even if it is outstanding otherwise for the given price.

Guys : Touch issue is real, face it or go for another model.
As per this thread suggest, even if you get newer touch screen panel, there is no 100 % guarantee that touch will work fine.
.
Because : old panels all issues fixed from 8.11.23 beta to 8.12.20 beta, and in this period newer panels got issues.
So they reverted that fix in 8.12.27 beta. But then again same issues are back for old panels. And newer panels are good now.
Now old panel users are waiting for new update which includes 8.12.20 touch firmware.
.
So Xiaomi has fix for everyone but they don't know proper way to implement it. ( recognising both users and applying fix upon it)
In coming days they will find it.
And everyone will be happy.
In worst case, you need to go service center for flashing new firmware with new bootloader which can recognize which panel you have.
.
So, waiting is best way for it.

you won't understand what we are facing while playing fps games, so better shut up
Been on all beta pie builds, currently on 8.12.27 and 8.11.15 had the least touch issues.
Again I don't feel they interfere with gaming that much in my personal opinion, you can compensate by pressing harder for the most part. Playing on an iPad pro is a completely different experience though it's almost like an unfair advantage over poco F1.

i know. from the beginning I'm trying every build and also accepting the time taken by devs coz they have their personal life too. but I paid for the device and that's what matters most to me.
sorry for being rude but when I see someone saying skills over multi touch problems i can not stay still. thank you.

I update my previous post: 8.1.20 touchscreen fw performs equally well with the 8.12.10. 8.12.27 still remains the worst of all. Probably would have been a good temporally solution to have same revision custom kernels builds with different touchscreen firmwares, until this problem is permanently fixed for all.

Ordered end of November and my Poco has no edge touch issues at all.
Was quite worried about it after doing a lot of reading on here about it, but I've spammed qpqpqpqpqpqpqp and all the other suggestions but no problems with that.

Tested in stock rom, then immediately flashed LOS - still no touch problem.
Perhaps new stock units aren't affected?

First of all, both areas where letters p and q are situated have latency, so it doesn't matter whether you type pq or qp because both keys will have the same latency and the output will be accurate. The middle of the screen has no latency so if you wish to test if your unit has touch issues, type p or q with another letter from the middle, e.g. pe, or qu. Secondly, by the end of November, Xiaomi released a firmware patch which has significantly improved touch so make sure you don't use any release post 8.11.15 to check your Poco touchscreen (custom ROMs developers also implemented the new kernel). And yeah, maybe some units are not affected, however, too many people complained about the issues for me to believe that it's a marginal problem. I think most of us have it, if not everyone. But if you really don't, you're lucky then and good for you. The Pocophone without touch problems must be a perfect device. :)

Don't test with 'pq' but test because both of em are at the edges.
Test with 'q' then 'i' fast see if it comes 'qi' or 'iq'

If you're not affected good for you then.

Thanks, indeed not affected.
Second Poco (friend) arrives soon, will check that one and report back.

Curious to know if anyone else who only got their Poco's in the last month or so have touch problems..
