Just use the ROM he says and flash the boot.img separately.

It will boot, then you can S-OFF, update your firmware, then: install and ICS ROM.

The reason it caused a problem is because you're S-ON.

I can't believe a simple soft brick ran into so many pages.
To the other Members who posted solutions here, seriously, those were all terribly wrong & you confused the OP.
When you don't know, it's best not to provide wrong answers.
I don't mean to be rude, but your intervention is what made it so difficult.
It was a simple case of someone flashing an ICS ROM w/o fw & had S On.
The right solution is: flash GB ROM, & the boot.img from it. Or flash perfectly matching GB RUU.
As simple as that.
Do not take offence to this, I'm only advising you with an intent to make you realize that you shouldn't ever give suggestions that you'd never try on your own phone.
Don't get me wrong though, no disrespect meant.

Well when op don't listen to what we say.Posts do increase...

Well I do agree that.. Initial posts by some people are terribly wrong.. But when others came to understand the situation...(by my initial post).. The op still didnt followed the method that was suggested thus resulted in the post increase.. But the point here is he understood what he screwed and came out fine at the end :)

People do make mistakes.. No one knows everything by default..i hope the others did understand some of it.. By this experience

That's true ganeshp. I did not go through every single post, just the initial posts.
All I wanted to say is, if you aren't sure, why put someone else's phone at risk, that's all. :)

EDIT: I'm sorry I started this OT; it was unnecessary. Let's just forget about it and close it up. Sorry once again.
