I think my brother bricked my Defy+ =0

Today I ask my brother to install me some apps I put in a folder while I was away. Unfortunately, I forgot to remove 2nd init app (the one with the custom recovery for defy). My brother told me he installed it, pressed Install Bootmenu and then the phone lagged so he rebooted it.
Now my phone gets stuck after the red M appears when I try to load it. I can still go into recovery but it fails to do actions I thought would solve the problem such as wiping cache, and when I try to do so it says failed to mount E;/
How can I solve such problem? I think I can reinstall CM10 but I dont have any recent backups of important items like Whatsapp conversations.
By the way I am using Quarx's CM10 , forgot to mention that.

Please tell me how can I solve this issue and load my phone, preferably without reinstalling CM.

Thanks in advance, and I hope you can answer asap, Im really worried about this situation!

Does that bootmenu have adb or mount option? If it does you may be able to restore you bootmenu by using Linux.
Tell me if it has an option for adb or mount, and I'll tell you what to do.

Yes this problem happens to me as well! However I purposely install 2ndInit again because that earlier version of recovery that it installs allows me to mount my sdcard. But for you I'm afraid it has the opposite effect.
In custom recovery try these:
Mounts and Storage > check that you can unmount/mount things (post here what you can and can't)
If you can mount your sdcard: Go to Advanced > Start adb, Mounts and Storage > Mount usb drive, then you can copy over the files you want to flash and reflash everything.

As for backups, I'm afraid there is little you can do.

Once again, thank you. Problem solved.
