Hi:
Sorry for the dumb question
I flashed this long ago, when JH7 first came out for Captivate, I am now wondering when/if Froyo is ever officially released by AT&T will I need to do anything in order to be able to install it. What I mean is, will I have to unroot, flash back to stock (or does this version count as stock)?
Thanks so much!

It will probably come as an OTA update and I am never doing one of those again. The last one sent my phone to the warranty dept. Besides, I don't think I want to handcuff myself with Att anyway. Mainly, no mobile ap.

Hi:
Thanks for the reply. I was unable to use the OTA update last time, because I was rooted. I assume the same will be true when Froyo is release. I was more wondering if the ROM in the first post is "technically" the same as stock. In other words, when they say to Odin back to stock prior to flashing a new ROM, does that apply if I used this version, or am I already on stock ROM?
Sorry, I really do read xda religiously, and have been researching and thinking about flashing a custom ROM, but for some reason I am still confused about this, lol.
Thanks again!

If you are using this Rom "as is" then you're on stock. Personally, I've flashed hundreds of times and have never had to go back to stock unless I was lazy and I wanted to undo voodoo quickly. If you are on a different rom and want to flash back to stock you cannot use this. Main reason is CWM is not going to convert everything back to rfs and if you had a lagfix on your previous rom it would mess everything up because of incompatible kernel issues.

Hi:
Thanks so much for the reply. I have thought about flashing cognition for a while, but decided I really want to stick to stock, I know I'm crazy lol. I was under the impression that the rom you mentioned in the other thread was not the final build, which is why I was going someone might release the official final at&t build.
Thanks again!

Hi:
I know cognition is based on the at&t rom, but I prefer to stick to stock for now.
I was actually just looking for a stock rom that can be flashed some way besides kies. I did find the Roger's rom, I just can't seem to find the AT&T one.
Thanks
