Regarding your problem though, what phone do you have? I'd suggest returning to your original, "official" firmware.

Sorry for the wrong section, my fault.

I still have the original firmware, I just overwrite the camera.apk. But also before that the camera didn't works. I must confess I really would change firmware (maybe it could solve) but I cannot find anything in the web...my smartphone is an Haipad i9300 quite famous in ebay...but hard to find any rom or mod...
