Changing to IceColdSandwich from CodeFireX (DHD)
I have a brief question on how to change between two Custom Roms:
I read that you should be careful because of different Kernel-versions, among other things. Unfortunately I couldn't find any information on my specific question.
On my DHD is currently running CodefireX JB nightlies, which is going to be replaced by IceColdSandwich (because of its stability, as many say). The .zip has been copied to the sd card.
I will do a Full-Wipe, that's clear. Is there anything else that I need to do?
Could someone please tell me how to do this?

Kernel is already included in the zip. Flash the same way you flashed the previous rom. You may encounter garbled text, which should disappear with a reboot.

i had 3 instant reboots in 2 days while trying to use GooManager or browsing with Chrome on Pacman ... thats when i gave up on that Rom and switched to CM 10.1

I'm really ion love with this rom, i've been looking for a fast and smooth rom and I found these aspect on this one. I'm already running 8.8 version, but I have a massive problem with the camera. The stock camera works flawlessly, but for instance, I can't record videos as they record real choppy and the point of being unwatchable. I can live with that.
BUT, what really bothers me and I'm thinking of moving on from this rom, is the fact that I can't use another apps which use the camera. For exmaple Instagram, everytime I take a photo the top get cut with lines and colors or with a portion of the previous taken photo, which is really annoying. Snapchat the same, photos turn out bad and if you try to record a video I just have to reboot phone as it break down everything.
Is there a fix for the camera, or this is it? Because if I can't solve it I'm afraid I'll have to look for another rom and I really don't want to.

Hi, just wanted to say that I have the same camera problem, couldn't find a way to fix it.
Also, this rom got laggier and laggier over time, it's almost unusable now. Not a heavy user, not many apps... But since I couldn't find another recommended rom as stable as this one I guess I'll just reinstall it.
Hey, I had the same problem so I let the rom go. I'm currently using a Carbon port with 4.2.2 and it's suprisingly smooth! It's been 4 weeks now and the speed is the same as the moment I installed it, you should try it.

Been using this since early this morning and have no complaints so far.
Seems fast and my phone runs smooth not all glitchy acting like a few others I have tried.
One thing i was having problems with is Nova Launcher(just plain stopping working and my phone telling me that it stopped) so I ended up removing it and using Trebuchet instead which seemed to clear up the problems I was having.(had same problem with other roms my phone seems to hate nova for some reason)
My battery life seems to be better than the others I have tried also which is a big plus for me I use my phone for a lot of things.
Also to the posters complaining about the camera if you had read the op that you downloaded the rom from in the first place you would have seen the part about Lord telling you upfront that the camera is silly acting.
So there is no reason to keep posting about the camera doing what the dev told you it was going to do before you even flashed it.
