I fell in love with stock/xoom navigation buttons so i modded the SystemUI.apk with that buttons.

The mod is compatible with ICS 4.0.x and I packed the theme as metamorph pack so you can use that on every rom. You need the app Metamorph or Zip Themer. Don't try to flash the attached the zip, it will not work.

How to:
  • Metamorph: open the app and select the zip files. Apply it then reboot.
  • Zip Themer: open the app and make a flashable zip. Have fun.

File details:
  • ICSButtons: the new ICS stock icons ready for Metamorph or Zip Themer
  • AsusICSButtons: the new ICS ASUS icons ready for Metamorph or Zip Themer
  • [old]XoomButtons: for Honeycomb (a far remembrance :) )
  • [old]AsusButtons: for Honeycomb

Download in attachment or here is a mirror: http://download.andreavenditti.com/tf101/Metamorph.package/mods/

Thank you so much for this! I prefer stock HC buttons because they fit rest of the system:D

Works fine on mine with Prime 1.4. Thank you.

Do you have to do this via adb, or could I have just copied over using root explorer?

Don't use root explorer or you will have many crash problems. if you want i can make an update.zip clockwork friendly :)

An update.zip version would be great. That way people can download it straight the transformer, move it to their MicroSD card and flash it without going near their PC.

I wish I knew how to do this stuff. Is there a good website with tutorials, etc?

Making a flashable .zip. Hope the OP doesn't mind. Give me 1 minute.

Edit:
Flash in Clockwork Recovery. Unsure if it works in Stock Recovery but I don't see why not. If attempting to flash in Stock Recovery, rename to update.zip (unsure if it works, but it should)
Stock XOOM: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?8q3s3rcp1t16p47
Stock TF101: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ozgwcu874m2wanp FLASH ONLY TO UNDO THE MODIFICATIONS

Enjoy. I've tested it as well (Clockwork only).

If you copy it over, with a different name, say SystemUI2.apk, and put it in the system/app folder with Root Explorer, you'll be fine. Then, just navigate to it, and change the permissions. Once they are set properly, then you can rename it to SystemUI.apk without any FC issues. You'll just have to reboot in order to take note of the changes. ;)

What do the permissions need to be changed to?
