This little gps fix include, new gps.conf for whole world, also the needed lto.dat and an updater-script for the lto.dat.
The updater-script will check your lto.dat on every boot/reboot if its actuall, if its not actuall (means older then 5 days) it will update your lto.dat automatical.

Step 1
Open up your build.prop and add the follwoing line (after you have add it save the build.prop):

Code:
ro.ril.def.agps.mode=1

(The build.prop backup you can delete or let it there its your choise)

Step 2
- Download the flashable.zip
- Copy it to Internal or External SD
- Boot the Recovery
- Make an backup (just to be safe if something wrong)
- Flash the flashable.zip
- Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
- Fix Permission
- Restart your phone

Step 3
You are finish enjoy fast gps fix ;)

Credits goes to

After i flashed this my phone didn't boot :(
I'm not 100% sure it wasn't my fault since i changed some other things too. I will try to verify this tomorrow, but all who want to try this MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!!

Hmm i dont know why you get an bootloop... we have test it with CM10.1 and CM10.2 no problems there as far i know.

BTW: I've updated the OP (Step 3 and Step 4 are new) and also updated the flashable.zip (added one missing file).

Please give an feedback if its working for you or not...

Thank you and enjoy ;)

Jesus, man! It's amazing! I'm using cm10.2, which usually uses at least 1min to fix gps, and with this mod I got 10sat fix in less than 10s! It's absolutely not a placebo effect!
The only thing: you should fix permissions (making them executable) of gps-update on /system/bin and 07lto-dat (or something like that) on /system/etc/init.d
Thanks a lot!

As i said i'm not sure it was the zip, but it also wasnt a bootloop, it didn't even get to the bootscreen. I just wanted to warn other users :)

Boot your recovery and make fix permission, this should help you.

Yes i know, thats the reason why i edit Step 2 and have written that they do an backup first to be safe ;)

Doesn't seem to work here on ICS either. Getting permession denied when typing gps-update too. And yes, I did fix permessions.
Will try a few more things and edit this post if I succeed.

Edit: I got it now!!!
Guide to those who get permession denied:

- Stay in recovery after flashing the zip (this guide is for TWRP users)
- Enter Mount -> Now mount system
- Enter Advanced menu -> File Manager
- Browse to this: system/bin/gps-update, press on gps-update
- Press on 'chmod 755'
- Reboot phone.
- Enter terminal emulator, write su and then gps-update
- Done.

This worked for me! Try it.

Even with fix prermissions i cant execute gps-update (permission denied). I tried chmod +x gps-update in /system/bin but it wrote "bad mode".

su, chmod 755 /system/bin/gps-update, "Unable to chmod /system/bin/gps-update: Read-only file system. "

EDIT: Solved. Easy solution. Download Root Explorer. Change permission for gps-update.

It is excelet, awesome, brilliant.
I use TheROM build 22. Before this, i had fix max 8 satelites and it took 5 minutes of staying under open sky.
Now with this mod, i started GPS and i had 12 satelites fixed in 15 seconds on cold start. Its unbeleavable.

If I have a CWR, I have to install TWRP recovery?

This means that you get the actually lto.dat into /data/gps ;)

Also this means you have successfully flashed and installed all files which needed for fast gps fix.

Now you can try if you have any improvement in gps...
