I just push it, why is it still displayed as 2.3.7 keyboard on titanium backup?

Do I need to remove old Latin ime apk? I'm using CM7 nightly

Is there any new settings? Or some distinct feature. I just feel nothing changed.

What rom are you using? Some don't have landscape support for all functions. Check the op of your rom.

Mine works great. Running incdeck rom.

All credit goes to blooruk

Seems like there's some demand for ICS stuff

It's fast. I like it
How can the keyboard be faster than the original Gingerbread keyboard? All files in the apk are from 2008. Just four pngs, one sound file and the resources.arsc are from 2011-10-26... So that is in fact the old gingerbread keyboard and is exactly as responsive and has the same auto correction than before...

Yes I suspected as much. It didn't have any new things. Also has the same error when you have "touch to correct " enabled. It will sometimes output a letter twice in the beginning of a sentence, just like the gingerbread keyboard.

Also the music version here is actually older. You can tell because it looks like a slightly reskinned version of 3.0, also the version number is lower:
4.0.0.500 vs 4.0.1.500

As far as music goes, i think the latest market update is newer than both versions @ 4.0.9.509. However, remember that numbers don't always reflect the latest version. (At this point, theoretical :D)

@cidefix, you are right. I never took the time to inspect it.

Original ICS will look like THIS

I noticed that too. I think/hope that they have finally implemented BlindType that they bought a couple of years ago cause that looked awesome.
That's what I thought too, and its possible with how accurate it is now, but it seems like they would have put more emphasis on it had they implemented it.

Download

Push to /system/app
Set permissions to rw-r-r (See image)
Reboot and enjoy (Not sure if runs on non AOSP, so plz lemme know if it ain't i might be able to tweak it)

Sorry folks, this ain't the real deal.
Ok, using adb for the first time to talk to my phone. What is the chmod params to set rw-r-r on this file?

Edit: Ok, I got it - 644 for anyone else that wants to know. Seems to be working just fine on PrimeXL-HD Sense ROM. :D

And with that, I think it's time to either change this thread's title to accurately reflect what these apks actually are, or just close it.
