ICS-Miui-DSJ 2.2.24 (Hybrid Framework ICS) graphical installation

I dont know if its common across all gb based ROMs, or if its only wirh MIUI ROMs, but my free RAM is very less compared to stock froyo with similar or less apps.

Right after restart i get around 260 mb of free RAM, but after a day or two, the amount of free RAM decreases to less than 100mb, sometimes as low as 30-40mb only. On Froyo, it used to be near 180 mb

Is there any solution for this? Or any way to monitor the culprit app or process?

Since we have cm7 based on 2.3 kernel, anyone knows when MIUI will adapt 2.3 kernel?

Hello and merry Christmas to everyone.

Today i had many free time so i played with my defy.
I wipe everything and...
1. Install CM9 (It's need much work to be stable)
2. Install WajkIUI miui (i prefer DSJ version for the programs he use)
3. Install DSJ latest version (the one that when i update to i had FC with the phone app).

With the clean install it was working fine. I install all my programms, set-up everything and it still working fine. Until...
I had a incomming call from a number that it wasn't saved in my contact list and as i was talking i had a incomming call in hold ( I didn't answer).
After that the phone app it stop working i tried everything but only when i install the previous version works again.
I hope this help you out to found a solution.
Also and very important is that i use the Multilanguage T9 dialer mod from miuiandroid. I don't know if it has anything to do with the problem.(can you include this mod to you rom too).

Still 1.11.25

Hello everyone,

Just for info I am still using ICS-Miui-DSJ 1.11.25 as the most stable and reliable rom amongst the released versions. It works extremely well and gives up to 2 days battery life with moderate use (which means for me 1 day in almost any heavy usage conditions)!

To tell the whole truth I deleted all GO apps from the rom and many other apps which I don't use so I have a very light rom but does all I need.

Merry X'mas to you also. Btw, i am also getting very good battery backup with the 1.12.5 rom. No issues so far. Only thing is the free RAM keeps on reducing after few days, for which I restart the phone as a workaround. Other than that its by far very good rom considering speed, stability & visual appearance. Thanks to DSJ & all MIUI & CM devs for their hardwork...

Notice the Homescreen dock is not proper as per iPHONE & also the icons are kinda smaller.

This can be because I installed this theme on GO Launcher EX.

Wifi problem

Hi,

I have a wifi problem. About a shorter or longer time always stop working the wifi connection. The icon is on, but there is no data flowing.
Is there a solution?

Some of my friends using 1.12.9 or 1.12.16 had experienced the same FC of dialer. This malfunction does not exist in 1.11.25.

Edge-to-Edge screen usage gone in MIUI ROMS????

One question,
Is there any setting by which we can use the screen till the corners?
I mean, currently the screen edges are kinda curved/ rounded off in all Menu, Apps, Gallery Displays etc.. Only the boot animation is displayed till edges.

Please see the attached pic to know what I am trying to say here...

Please don't say that you badly need those few pixels in the corners...

Installing over 2.3.4

Can someone tell me how to install this over 2.3.4 (Defy+) rom? I tried to use the custom recovery to install this and it got stuck at the boot screen.
