So I have both a Galaxy Nexus and a Xoom, both running ICS. Now over in the Nexus Forums, the cool thing is getting the tablet ui of ICS on the phone, but what I want to do is get the Phone UI on my Xoom. Just as a proof of concept kind of thing. I know to do this is by changing the dpi. On the Nexus you have to change it from 320 to 160, and the exact opposite for the Xoom. I can get it to boot into the phone ui on my xoom, but without the Nav bar on the bottom. My question is if anyone knows of a way to get that working and to see how far we can push that concept. Whats everyone's thoughts?

If you should still be interested in that: I think you need to decompile framework-res.apk. Then, somewhere in "values", you can activate the navbar. While in tablet-mode it always is shown, in phone-mode it is only shown when activated. If you do so, it should work!

The nav bar can be triggered by the build prop too lol may not be relevant here tho
