Idea about modding Xperia X micro-USB to USB-C

This just come up in my mind.

The USB-C port is the only thing that I think the Xperia X needs to to have.

After checking the Xperia X teardown videos, we can see that the Micro-USB port on X is totally modular.

Here is the OEM part of this:

So is there any chance that we can mod this up to USB-C, with a few works on the bottom casing ?
Hmmm... Sounds like a decent idea. I don't really love having to heat up the back of the phone to remove the cover, and possibly reapply adhesive for this, but hey, if it's beneficial, why not. I have no warranty to lose anyway.
Are you thinking of doing it? I guess the bottom part would require some modding for a bit more space to be done. (the triangular sides)

I'm thinking of doing this, after my warranty expire in 04/2018 :D

According to this video, I think it's really possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntK_cytm1m8

I wondered about a few things I hope you can enlighten me.

1) How do we close the panel after removing it? Do I need to buy adhesive for it or is it reusable?
* I saw the video, turns out he replaces the adhesive, still wonder if its necessary
2) Is it possible to mod the phone by replacing some parts with the xperia X performance? I mean, they are very similar, and I wonder if you can for example change the battery or something like that. It sounds pretty risky though, since it wasn't designed for the model

1/ In the past, all the Z lines-up will need to replace the adhesive, for one important reason, keep the dust/water resistance of the device. X doesn't have the official IP rating, so I don't really think we "have to" replace. However, in the process of taking things out and in, I think it's a better way of doing thing. Plus, the adhesive is dirt cheap.

2./ This is the off-topic question. And personally I don't think we really need to have the X performance battery, because they're not that difference :D :D and all the front - rear cameras, speakers v.v. is basically the same.

we love to have USB-C on the X :D :D

For the battery we can try it too like some people did for the s6 they used the battery of s7 edge and it worked...

But for the usb c i just have to change the charging port?

No, you also need to mod a hotel the bottom plastic to make space. Nothing crazy. Other than that it sounds like a simple mod but I would want an expert to state an opinion
