Idea to honour the N1, the King of phones.

I work in an office of 23 people.

I have so far converted 8 people to Android!

2 x Nexus (including mine)
1 x HTC Hero
1 x HTC Legend
3 x HTC Desire
1 x HTC Magic
2 x Samsung Galaxy S (including my wifes)

LOL.... I love it and HONESTLY, not 1 iPhone in site!

I am known as the office android, if anyone wants to know about an app or get their phone rooted, it's me they come to.

I started off on the G1 and tbh I never knew it would become this big or understood what I was really getting into in those days, the G1 could have so easily fallen by the wayside like many other phones.
The funny thing is, I went in for an iPhone and came out with a G1....weird.

Got a question: why is google shutting down the production of N1? <- currently it's selling on mass e.g. in Germany... delivering delays up to 2-3 month...
So why do they let their child die?

They're not.
In my head, all they are doing is making it more exclusive =D
It didn't sell as well as they expected, the media shredded it to pieces,
even though the phone is the best phone I have handled.
BUT, even though they aren't selling it to the world from their store,
I do believe that they are selling it in retail outlets (?) or at least they were going to.
But you can get one if you are an android developer.

I unlocked it, rooted it, upgraded his radio and kernel (OC, UV - and he was still running 2.1 update 1. Working for Tmo you'd think he'd get the upgrades first xD) And after that, I gave him CM6, cause that was pretty much the easiest way to get all of the GOOD mods in one. I gave him ADW using the paperless theme, and he thought that was way cool, along with the black desire notification bar. It probably took me, including download times, about 25 minutes using his laptop. So, if I could do this for a living, I could charge $120 an hour =D


Good idea for an APP. Kind of like Google Latitude, but open, and it only shows other people with the same phone. =D


Not a lot, but what if they come out with a phone that has 1gb of RAM and a dual core 2ghz proc.
I'm pretty sure that if there was a developer phone with something like that, I *might* drop my Nexus, and run drooling to the online store =D

I wish i could share a similar sentiment with regards to the wow factor when showing off your phone but my first and only experience has led me to show my nexus off from a distance encased in a protective glass box and wearing my otter case, lol... Two days after getting my phone I take a trip to FSU to visit some friends and we hit up a local club the bouncer stops me and was like, "damn is that a nexus one?". Naturally, I was very suprised and let him check it out per his request. Long story short the phone falls during the exchange resulting in my nexus's one and only nasty scuff on the corner :/ (rubber case was being shipped at the time).....So yea any nexus one enthusiasts around soflo??? stay away from me!!!! lol, jk
