If I root via Bump, will I be able to receive updates?

If I root with Bump (and DON'T install a custom recovery) will I be able to receive stock updates from Sprint/LG? I ask because I want to do a few tweaks with xposed but I don't want to deal with waiting around for a ROM from the devs. The stock ROM, in my opinion, is great.

Root using stump. Then I think if you get an update you may need to uninstall root and xposed before trying to install it.

Right, Stump, not bump, sorry. How would I go about uninstalling root, when the time comes?

I used to use the supersu app and say unroot. It's worked for me on other phones but don't know for sure if it will work on this one.
