If your screen is unresponsive in certain areas, try this first!

When holding the G-Tab in portrait, the upper left corner of my screen was unresponsive. I couldn't hit the "Home" button in the ROMs. When I turned it to landscape, I could hit the "Home" button just fine. Also, the very right side where the launcher icons are, are either hard to press or I have to press longer for them to respond.

Since I just got my G-Tab, I thought I may have gotten a bad screen, so I ordered an RA (return authorization) through TigerDirect. Had my G-Tab packed back up in the box and ready to ship back for a replacement.

Until I saw this:

Touch Screen Calibration App

I didn't even know there was such an app. So, I unpacked/unboxed my G-tab, loaded a ROM. Ran the Screen Calibration app and WOW! My screen works perfectly in all spots from the tests I've ran.

I don't know how this app works, but it looks like it has saved me from paying to return my G-tab and wait for another to be shipped back.

If you are having problems with certain parts of your screen becoming unresponsive, or any other type of touch-screen issues, try this app first before you send your G-Tab back.

I keep forgetting to add this to my own ROMs. :( Thanks for reminding me about this app.
I'm just a very happy camper that I don't have to return my tablet now and wait for a replacement to come.

That's excellent that you're going to add it into your ROM. I think all G-Tab ROM chefs should add that app into their ROMs with the amount of touch screen issues people have had with these tablets.

I might add gojimi's Launcher too (I keep hearing very good things about it, but my device is usually in some semi-bricked state, half the time).

Since I flashed the last Clemsys Kernel (9) I did not had ANY calibration issue, can someone else confirm this, I am surprised of this myself...

The screen is much more responsive than it used to be...
