If you're a Mate 20 owner and not getting the EMUI 9.1 update, set region to China

you should update it to build 266 first then update it to 9.1 .
you could see many talk about that on this forum.

Thank you for replying, i would guess 266 has to be from an OTA and most of the forums mention about C432, but I have C675

Here in Germany now have 9.1 update with HIcare. All is official unbranded and unrooted with o2 sim. The size is 4+ GB.

I also had 243 and had been stuck for weeks. As the phone was purchased in HK, I switched the sim card from Telstra to a HK carrier and it immediately started to update

I finally managed everything. Look like im stuck but i tried to download latest package and recovery from erecovery. And set my region back to china (where i bought this phone) and update everything. Now its on 9.1

I made it for ~ 1 week and I still have the notification for an update ...

Maybe they mean from wizard choosing region and setting? But u must do it after reset the phone

maybe you can try to erecovery from the latest one. then try to set your phones region. mine success from those way when its look like trapped at 201 build.

working update to EMUI 9.1

after numerous fails, here's how I got 9.1 to install OTA

I have a LYA-L09 (single sim) C432 with software prefix ending 238 after changing regions and all manner of things I gave up.

So I downloaded EMUI9 firmware still on V9 but with a prefix of 266 - a more recent version it seems!

I extracted the firmware to a newly created folder named dload on a usb and connected it by OTG to my mate20 and rebooted the phone

while holding Vol + and - until the logo appears it found the update and started installing

when it rebooted i connected to wifi and right away 9.1 was offered to me (downloading it now)

hope this helps some folk, but check your software version to see if a more recent firmware is available and let you enjoy EMUI9.1

Going into the HiCare app main screen and pressing the update shortcut i get this screen acknowledging the 9.1 update and button to go to settings. When I press this button however it takes me to the standard system update screen where it says that I'm up to date on 9.0.

I tried changing from UK to China on the app but when I do so I do not receive this same acknowledgement. I've attached the pic here guys does anyone else get this too?

Every time I try another region it and me to login because it senses I'm in the wrong area or region. Do you guys get that same notice? I'm dual SIM and still no update. Tried China, Philippines, done European areas and no go. Is the dual Sims taking longer to update than single Sims?
