I
With pleasure. (both are done on auto/superior auto respectively)
Xperia Arc: ~2.5MB, super long exposure times and thus overexposed images
Xperia V: ~2MB, slightly oversaturated blues
No XS though
But seriously, XZ is pretty darn good for the file size already.
Looking at this (http://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=1&idPhone1=5204&idPhone2=4958&idPhone3=3619), your point is completely invalid. The XZ's image is definitely the sharpest. The Xperia V is fuzzy, while the Xperia Arc fudges up the horizontal lines on the right, whereas you can still distinguish the lines in the XZ's image. If you replace the Xperia V with the Xperia S, like so (http://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=1&idPhone1=5204&idPhone2=4369&idPhone3=3619), the XS's image is still slightly fuzzier than the XZ.The problem is the fuzzy, lack of (or abscent of...) details and smeared out photos caused
by way too heavy use of compresseion and noise supression/reduction when taking photos in
anything but in excellent light conditions (its not very good in ideal light condition either...)
Take some pics in low light (indoors) using ARC, XPS, XPV and compare it to pics taken with XPZ.
The XPZ pics is a joke, theres absolutely no details left in the photos..
The "fix" is really easy, its just a matter of reducing the level of compression/supression/reduction used![]()

The gray chart isn't the ISO chart for comparisonsWell...this test just proved the lack of details and overcompression again.
look at the grey chart. Horrible.
You are aware of that this is a synthetic test?
Pics taken in ideal light condition using lowest possible ISO setting?
It does not really reflect the real world performance.
Just like 3Dmarks is not a game (some people do think its a fun "game" haha)
nor i like spending time shooting posters in studio lightning![]()

Yes, this is synthetic. Yes, best conditions. Since you say so...

Move your cursor to the Met-Life words and compare. You'll realise the Xperia Z has the sharpest image. Xperia Arc doesn't have the same photo, but it's fairly obvious that the image isn't very sharp.
How about you find them yourself and you show meWhere is the pics i was asking for?
Pics taken in low light/indoor using higher ISO? The pics where the compression/noise reduction really kicks in?![]()
No need to find any, i can shoot them by myselfHow about you find them yourself and you show me![]()
I have to admit, not very good. Still, here's an Xperia V photo taken with same settings as you, in normal mode. Not very good eitherNo need to find any, i can shoot them by myself
Ok, lets start with the attached pic, its taken with a XPZ in the office, ISO manually set to 800. 100% crop.
What do you think about the quality? The details? The compression? The noise reduction ?
Let me know and i will post pics taken under the same condition using XPS/ACRO S, XPV, ARC.
Yes and no, all jpg files are compressed, that is what jpg is. The phone does not shoot RAW (uncompressed).Do u know if is there a way to take picture in uncompressed mode?
