So a little background:
I got this phone second hand from a buddy when he upgraded, and I had service on it for a while after installing LineageOS (or CM) onto it. BUT, for the last two years it didn't have service or even sim card since I used as a media player and to run my fantasy football teams leaving it in airplane mode with the wifi turned on. I think I updated the rom at least once (maybe twice), it was over a year ago last time I messed with it and can't exactly remember what I fuzzed with in twrp or whatever.
I've decided to get service for the phone again., and the service checks compatibility by the IMEI number, but in settings > about phone > IMEI it says that the IMEI is unknown and the IMEI SV is unknown. How do I diagnose what the underlying problem is, and how do I find how to fix it?
