Hello everybody
I have been rooted and an avid flasher on my G2 for a year now and I've enjoyed every single moment of it. I actually acquired my G2 in late 2013, but didn't start flashing till August 2014.
Today, I flashed Dorimanx LP kernel 3.1.2 via the Dorimanx OTA app. As I usually do when there's a new update out. Today, however, the OTA app wouldn't really flash Dorimanx' kernel. So I tapped several times on 'Tap here to flash...' and the phone rebooted to recovery. But it didn't flash the kernel like it usually would. I then thought, 'no biggie, I know where the file is and I'll flash it manually' and so I did.
When I rebooted the phone, there was no signal. Slowly, I began fearing the worst. With a shaking hand I typed *#06# and my worst fears came true:

IMEI
null

I rebooted to recovery and flashed my EFS backup, but alas. It didn't work. My trusty companion is now a mini-tablet only and can't be used for anything but that. I'm currently working on flashing KitKat again and restoring my backup, but the chances are VERY slim.

I have the same issue with Cloudy 3.1 and Dori 3.0 kernel. Simply reflashed (with full wipe) the Cloudy rom, and my IMEI has came back. Give it a try.
I'm still trying to figure out what caused it - however I spent quite some time yesterday correcting it.
I flashed back to KitKat and restored my backup - sounds simple! But it took me 4 hours because somboons LP rom was messing up driver wise

I cannot figure out, what caused this. I don't do anything on software side, when I loose IMEI. My phone was okay, just have some dust inside. So I decided to disassemble and clean it out, so I did. After assemle again, started the phone, and "ta-daaam", I have no imei, no ask for pin, no gsm signal. First I've disassembled again to check, if I missed to plug something, or what... but there was no mistake, so assembled the phone again to check. No luck, no IMEI. After that, I tried to reflash as a "last chance" and have luck this time. So, this can happen randomly?
