Hey.
In my device settings it just shows the name "Redmi 9". To my knowledge there is one 32gb and one 64gb version of the redmi 9. Does that matter?

I'm not even sure what the original version of MIUI was. In my attempts to root it I accidently installed a newer version. Now it is MIUI Global 12.0.2. I think the original version was 11 dot something. But my phone has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, a USB-C connector and a fingerprint scanner. So I guess it is indeed just a "Redmi 9" without extra letters.

I do not really understand why the Version of MIUI is important. Isn't it overwritten anyways if I flash my phone with a different image?

the version of miui is important since that way you will know which is the easiest method for your xiaomi try xiaoMItool v2 that tool makes you root alone look for it on youtube

I have tried it with the corresponding version. Unfortunately no success. My phone would not boot and I had to upload my backup again.

Is it possible that I accidentally deleted my recovery partition in my futile attempts (or somehow merged it with the boot partition)? Somehow recovery doesn't work anymore and the boot process is extremely slow.

If you have custom rom already installed, which boot.img should be used to patch with magisk Stock or Custom? How about vbmeta?

Edit: tried anyway, only patch boot.img and only flash boot.img

#1. (Computer) Download desired stock rom.
#2. (Computer) Extract desired stock rom.
#3. (Computer) Send extracted "boot.img" file to the android device.
#4. (Android) Install desired magisk version.
#5. (Android) Open magisk app, click on install magisk to file and select the desired "boot.img" file.
#6. (Computer) Download the "magisk_patched.img" file generated by magisk to the computer.
#7. (Android) Enter in fastboot mode.
#8. (Computer) Flash "magisk_patched.img" to the boot partition (remember to patch the vbmeta partition).
Done.

I meant i need a stable one not the others on YT channels promoting... tried to search over XDA but i couldn't find any, maybe it is my bad in searching!
