I've had my Nexus S for a while and it has all my texts up until early January. I left my Nexus S overseas on January 5th, and so I went to my Milestone for the past month.
Now that I got my Nexus S back, I have 1 month's of texts on my Milestone. What's the best way to get the texts off and then import them into my Nexus S? I want to merge them so I have a continuous history of SMS.
What I've tried:
1) Use GoSMS (latest version as of this posting) to export my 400 SMS from my Milestone.
2) Follow its instructions, copy the SMSRestore.zip into my Nexus S
3) Hit restore!
Ok so it restores a good chunk of them, but it doesnt seem to restore them properly. It's missing the last week's of texts (only goes as far as Jan 29th), and then more importantly, even though its restored stuff, I see a lot of missing stuff (within the 400 that should've been restored). It's like a botched import. And just so you guys know both phones run Gingerbread CM7.1, so I'm not sure why there's so many issues.
Any suggestions?
- Try an older version of GoSMS that worked for me when I migrated phones? (but the difference is I did a full import rather than trying to merge back them... who knows if GoSMS merges properly to begin with?)
- Other apps that can help me merge SMS?
