In Store purchasing

I swung by my local store and the manager agreed to hold one for me when they get them if I bought an accessory. I bought something and paid a bit too much but if they actually hold the phone, I am happy and will hang on to it. If not, then I will return it and just get the phone. Now for them to get one in stock...

I had the same experience, Reel. The manager is going to hold one for me when it comes in, but in this case because i bought a fifty dollar gift card for Sprint.

Also, like some others, I've called all Sprint Stores and Authorized Retailers in the San Francisco Bay Area. (the entire Bay Area... Im desperate :p) No one has it in stock and the general consensus is to check back next week.

I skipped pre ordering because I figured that it wasn't really worth tying up my money for a whole month. Kind of regretting it now. I've called every Sprint, Best Buy, and Radio Shack near me and no one has it on this side of Atlanta. Super bummed.

Same on the north side of Atlanta. I gave up and place my order with Wirefly for $150. If I have to wait, I might as well get it at a good price.

Chalk me up as another 'waiter'.

Spent time debating between EVO LTE and GS3.

Going on vacation over the 4th, so I'll hold out to see if I can get it in store next week, otherwise I'll order it from Wirefly.

Bad thing about Wirefly is you have to keep it on your line for 6 months or else you have to pay them $200. Bad for phone swappers.

I bought my Evo 4g (original) from them on released a couple years back. I saved a bunch of money - about 70 off retail - but nearly lost my SERO. I had to call up and get a rep to change me back. It is another risk you face with them. I was afraid it would trigger that $200 fee when I switched back but it did not. I even marked the 6 months on my calendar out of paranoia.

Yeah lots and lots of july 1st lol

I really don't know what to do when July 1st comes up because the back-order is threatening me that sprint stores will not have them by then :S

Also, are you guys also getting sprint ins? I'm more likely jumping on BB ins, but can you get their insurance even tho you didn't bought the phone there?

SF Bay Area
But only for 16 GB units. I think you still need to buy the 32 GB online or over the phone from corporate.
Yes, but the 32GB has always been a web/telesales exclusive. At least it'll be available on July 1st.

Now... Where can I go to see a demo? Or at least a dummy so that I can decide on a color?? Does T-Mobile/AT&T have them in stores yet?? Radio Shack or Best Buy??
