i did that but didnt work. so i ended up wiping data. didnt know that flashing the vendor and magisk at the same time would cause it to go to a black screenGo back to twrp and flash the rom and twrp again.
Well, it was an early April Fools joke after all.https://dirtyunicorns.com/2019/03/15/weeklies-have-started-and-some-news/
So what’s the news?
A lot of our developers to include myself have been doing this custom ROM thing for a while now. Some of us as early as the ICS days. The leadership in DU has decided that it time to call it quits. We have been doing this for a while now and have nothing to prove. Our Android P builds are as good as they’re going to be, as you can tell and we figured we end things on a high note. Things are going very well but is time to move on. At the end of Android P, the project you’ve all come to love or maybe hate lol will dissolve. Our developers are free to do what they want to do but I suspect most will continue to kick ass and take names elsewhere for other projects.
For myself, I will pursue making a name for myself over on Twitch. Is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now but just never had a whole lot of time or even space on my computer to do so. With DU in the rear view mirror, I believe I can give it my all. If nothing else, I can have some fun with that ?
Our Github organization will stay up as a reference for any developers that would like to carry on a similar project and/or port any of our work forward to future versions. However, our Discord server, Twitter account and other accounts that we used to communicate with our base will be shut down at the end of P.
We like to take this opportunity to thank all our contributors throughout the years. Is definitely been a good experience and we wouldn’t have done it any other way because we did it our way! Thank you again!

Well, what can I sayNot really buying it since April is coming up.
They have had some long running April fools jokes over the past years so I'm sure this is one too.
Flash or sideload April's ota and set up stock first. Fastboot update both slots (bootloader, radio, vendor) Then you'll be good to flash du and twrp.zip. All you need to wipe is data.I am having issues upgrading from 12.x to the latest 13.1. I flashed the latest stock image from Google and then downloaded 13.1 and the latest vendor image file taimen_pq2a-190405-003.img from April 2nd and flashed the vendor image and then 13.1 official. I've done this twice now and it hangs at the Google logo... each time for 1 hour plus. Any ideas on how to get this flashed?
Can you post the boot animation kind sir!Holy crap! That boot animation is fire!
First time jumping on the DU train with the Pixel 2 XL. Getting tired of stock...finally.
When that's happened to me with various ROMs in the past, I've always just flashed the vendor again via fast boot and everything's all right. So I flashed the vendor, ROM update and twrp installer but when I boot up it still says vendor mismatch. What should I do?
Weird. I'll try flashing it in twrp again. When that's happened to me with various ROMs in the past, I've always just flashed the vendor again via fast boot and everything's all right.
That's expected because you are installing vendor to slot a let's say, then you flash the rom which switches slots before flashing. So the rom is now in slot b. That's why you also have to reboot recovery before flashing another kernel or magisk. So I flashed the vendor, ROM update and twrp installer but when I boot up it still says vendor mismatch. What should I do?
Can you tell the exact procedure you follow?I've been flashing vendor and rom twice to cover both slots each month. That way if I decide to make changes and it swaps slots on me I'm still covered.
I use dueces script as it has does it for me without fail. @Badger50 does it manually so if he's around I'm sure he can either list it out or point you to a tut on how to flash all the update parts to both slots....Can you tell the exact procedure you follow?
I also use deuce script for returning to stockI use dueces script as it has does it for me without fail. @Badger50 does it manually so if he's around I'm sure he can either list it out or point you to a tut on how to flash all the update parts to both slots....
Ah right. Nightshift fog.I also use deuce script for returning to stock
But my question was as i understood that you flash custom roms to both slots and thats what i wanted to know about, the exact step by step guide for doing that
