"We are expecting to have these on July 6th. As soon as we'll get these we will compare and contrast this extended battery to a standard one."
Not that there aren't other solutions available of course, but for those looking for purchase from verizon with their disconnect that means we will have it soon.
PS verizon always lists their extended batteries @ 49.99 with new door cover. That alone is cheap but with a accessories discount that a steal.
