Inception Auto-Root only for SM-T113 (Galaxy Tab 3 lite new edition). It works pretty much like CF-Auto-Root work. You end up with supersu installed, and it reinstalls stock recovery when done.

DISCLAIMER
==============
DO NOT USE FOR SM-T110
You void your warranty when you flash something to your device
Use at your own risk, I'm not responsible for bricking your device.

Known issues
================
Screen flashes while installing supersu but it's nothing major

Worked like a breeze with my SM-T113NU.
Did a stupid mistake to press vol up instead of vol down + home + power to enter recovery mode.
As soon i realized my mistake everything worked fine.
Thanks, tgalal and SimArchitect, your efforts are much appreciated.

Since you speak portuguese i will "translate" the tutorial for you, but i will not take any responsability if you damage your tablet.

8 - Aperte START. O tablet vai baixar o arquivo e, enquanto isso, a tela vai piscar toda estranha, mas é normal.

SEU TABLET ESTÁ DESBLOQUEADO

3 - Go to the Samsung website and download KIES. Install and then plug the tablet to see if it identifies all drivers.
4 - Turn off your tablet and enter the download mode (power + volume down button + menu).

Bootloader?

I'm sorry if this one is blatantly obvious, but does this unlock the bootloader, or does the SM-T113 even need its bootloader unlocked? I have found a hopefully legit 6.0 Marshmallow rom I want to try out ( for unified storage ), but I think I would need to unlock the bootloader first.

Thanks

so is there anyway to put a custom recovery on this tab sm-t113? Also I know its not in high demand but would someone be able to make a custom jellybean or marshmallow rom for this tab? Sorry if this is a dead thread but its the only one i found in my search.

How do I use this? Simply flash recovery_twrp.img with Odin?

Edit:
Ok I found your inception tool. I guess I have to use this. But still I don't really get it. Can you give some hints? Thanks a lot for your efforts!

To flash this in Odin you will need:

1 Odin
2 Recovery

Rename the intercept root image to recovery.img and use a tar to md5 creator found on xda. Load up Odin select PDA or AP (which ever version you are using) and put your device in download mode by holding home, vol down, and power. Plug in device and wait for it to show up and it will say COM (with a number) and select start. You will see pop up in the white box "recovery" and it willl reboot the device and show either "reset in the box or "pass" and whatch the root too do its work. :)

The bootloader is already unlocked for this device otherwise these tools would not work

Any custom rom for? Cant seem to find one...

Thanks in advance...

There is a rom called Fyrestone found on XDA based on sock Touchwiz and works much better than the stock rom does. There is also another rom thats in development which is Cyanogenmod, but i havent heard anything about it lately..

You don't have a tar.MD5 in that zip. WTF are you talking about? Heimdall doesn't recognize .img on linux

    You just need to flash the file called "inception-samsung-goyavewifi-autoroot.tar.md5" using odin. The inception tool was only used to generate this file, but you don't need to use inception for flashing. More about inception in this thread.

    Hi tgalal or someone else
    I have installed as best I could as per the installation instructions on github.com
    But perhaps I missed something becaue when I run:
    $ incept bootstrap --base inception.device --variant mydevice --learn-settings --learn-props --learn-imgs --learn-partitions

    With a usb-connected sm-t113-nu in recovery mode, I get this output:

    I am supposed to get a lot of data from the phone, as far as I understand. It should go in my .inception folder. But it seems the data is not getting pulled.

    Any hints to get me ahead ? :eek:

    And thank you tgalal for the great work

    Jan

    Ps the tablet is rooted with tgalals own makefile for sm-t113

    Can you please post which dulwich you have installed? You can find it using something like:

    Code:
    python
    >>> import dulwich
    >>> dulwich.__version__
