Need more /system space

any hack to get me 2 GB os /system than data or even 1 GB of system? it has under 750 MB as of now

Yes guys, the /system partition is very small. Anyway of increasing this in addition to increasing /data would be appreciated.

And also, I have too many apps and data and etc.. It would be a headache to install them allover and the setup, takes too much time., Is there a way we could proceed without RESETting the mobile. Will that brick the mobile. ANyone tried it?

Possible for other mobiles?

My friend has a Q800-x of Xolo. He rooted it and all, but the internal memory size, as you know, is bothering him. Is there any way, that he could do the same as we did with our device. Does the same process apply. I dont think its the same. And messing with the minute details IMHO would cause chaos. So how to tackle this problem with other mobiles,. Even when I change to other phone I want to know how to increase the internal memory of that phone. So a universal tutorial would be nice. Thank you.

Q1010 Inernal Memory issue

HI Friends,

I got Xolo Q1010 which has 4Gb inernal where company has split Internal storage to 0.98GB and Phone Storage to 1.75 GB. Can u guys pls help me to reverse the storage capacity, as installing apps requires more space here the company gave only 0.98GB which is really pathetic. Pls help.......

First download MT6577 USB VCOM drivers. Extract it in any folder.

Open Device Manager. Connect Phone with your PC using USB cable. For a short time, Unknown device MT65xx , similar device will appear in the list. You have to right click and click property. Mean time that device might have get removed from the device list. Don't worry. Click on Driver - Update driver. And select newly downloaded MT6577 USB VCOM drivers. Once done. disconnect phone from PC.

Now follow above mention procedure. Run flash_tool.exe. Press Download button after that connect phone to PC. Now download will work.

Please download latest MT6582_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and use it as old does not work in my case.
