Incremental Updates not working?

Hey there,

I updated today a couple of apps which are bigger than usual apps. (>5MB)
Like 100 Floors, its about 30 MB big or other bigger apps.

The complete 30MB are being downloaded all the time so there is no real incremental update, is there?
I noticed this not only on one or two updates, its more about all updates.
Do the devs have to offer special update packages or how is this working? Any idea?

Nope, the Play Store automatically does everything for the developer (and the user). Well it's supposed to at least.

Again I downloaded a couple of updates today with apps >5 MB and all, also some with 20MB, got downloaded completely

I believe the developers will have to provide the files. Each app is coded and then complied. Once it is compiled that is the new file. Developers will need to provide incremental update files for this to work and it will take some time for them to do this.

If anyone still cares, it seems like this function has been enabeled today! So no wonder it didnt work before. Found that news on the german it news website golem.de
