Before doing anything to your device I'd recommend that you read through the various threads within the first section below, entitled GENERAL GUIDES so that you are familiar with the various terminology used and you never know you'll probably find an answer to your problem.....

It's also recommended that you install adb/fastboot onto your pc before you start to touch your device so that you have the required tools to execute the necessary commands and to provide other users debugging/logcat information regarding any issues you encounter. This can be a big help when attempting to fix/solve any subsequent problems you experience. You'll find a guide on how to install this within the GENERAL GUIDES section below.

If development on any of the ROMs below or any other entry has been ceased or is no longer valid then I would appreciate if someone (preferably the thread owner (OP)) could contact me and inform me so that I can label it as #CLOSED#. It may also be a good idea for the thread owner to contact the Moderators @zelendel, @babijoee, @chrisd1a1, @Divine_Madcat, @GODZSON, @Moscow Desire, @Shreyas Jani (or any Moderator) and request that the thread is closed.

Once a ROM thread has had no modifications for a couple of months, it will deemed to be #OLD# and I'll mark it as so, in an attempt not to clutter the ROM list. If the thread is still active then please PM me or post within this thread and I'll change it's status. Please don't take offence if this is your ROM but, some form of housekeeping must be performed so that the INDEX remains a useful easy to use resource for the community.

The SKU versions on the asus firmware page, are as follows:

US = USA
CN = China
TW = Taiwan
WW = Worldwide
DE = Germany
TB = Belgium, Turkey, Luxembourg
JP = Japan

##(any firmware updates after 9.2.1.17 for current DE and TB users requires the 'special' update file available from the Asus website.
This will enable those devices to upgrade to the latest WW sku updates when they are pushed out.)##

Update-14 Apr-Small guide for Install recovery & rooting when U are already to JB4.1

I write this help starting from part 3 of this guide and which I modified.

Don't use this guide for JB 4.2

Let's start with installing the recovery

1) Download these 2 files:
- Jellybean recovery with fastboot files: Fastboot files + JB recovery
- Root files (Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed) => Root files
- You can also download the new CWM Touch recovery if you don't like TWRP: CWM Touch recovery thread or TWRP recovery and download this file : openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-tf300t-JB.img or openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-tf300t-JB.blob

2) Extract the recovery with fastboot files zip and open a command prompt in the same folder of the adb and fastboot files (Shift + Right mouse)
3) Reboot into the bootloader of your tablet, type: adb reboot bootloader
4) When your tablet has reached the bootloader navigate with volume down to the usb icon and press volume up to confirm.
5) To flash the recovery type:
- TWRP: fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery twrp.blob
- CWM: fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery CWM-Touch.blob

6) A blue bar will appear and the recovery will be installed, when the blue bar is filled press volume up + power button to reboot into the tablet.

Now we will root the tablet

7) Copy Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed to the internal storage of your tablet. then reboot into the bootloader again.
8) This time you need to select the RCK icon with volume up to enter the recovery image.
9) In recovery flash Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed and reboot into the system
10) Install Supersu from Google Play
11) Open up Supersu, it will ask you to update the binary, choose yes.
12) Now your tablet should be rooted

If you want to push the TWRP recovery by Terminal emulator which is really fast and sure, its:

I'm not sure how much attention the TF300TL model gets but I think having a section for it would be helpful to people who own them.

How much space is being used by all files that you have listed? I'm willing to provide the TL files through Box.com & Dropbox (maybe) as mirrors for T/TG & main for TL. I have fairly good upload speed (3~5Mbps) & can let the uploads go during the day while I'm at work.

No there isnt one single rom for the tg with working 3G. I use cleanrom on mine, but without mobile data of course.

but the unlock works right, i need root and from what i have read there isn't any other way to get it yet
